Rubics
Bin VAR!
Don’t think Southampton are any better than when they went down. Look where we are compared to our first year or even last year. Couple more additions + couple of decent loans and we’ll be mid table.
If Leicester don't come racing out of the blocks I can see Cooper being put under too much pressure. It would be good to see them implode early on!leicester will have points deduction along the way and you know cooper will set them up to a low block defensive unit that isn't going to score a lot. vardy is their talisman and he's old as dirt. As for southampton , the team is only as good as their manager and martin will struggle to adapt.
do you think the greek overlord would be happy with 17th position for the next 2 years ?The three sides coming up this year are collectively better than the three that came up the season prior who promptly conspired to keep us in this league.
Happily would take 17th again. We still have a lot of amortisation to pay off, the single most important thing for the long term of the club is to pay that off through BAU revenue rather than player sales, and that can be achieved by finishing, at worst, 17th. That's the target for the next 2 years, anything else is a bonus.
No of course he wouldn't but apart from sacking manager's there is jack shit he can do about it should it happen.do you think the greek overlord would be happy with 17th position for the next 2 years ?
Question is will it be closer to 3 or 9 points? Would be dreaming with 7 but gladly take a 5.Would certainly like to think we are still unbeaten at that stage…..
Minimum 5 for me, which would be a more than decent startQuestion is will it be closer to 3 or 9 points? Would be dreaming with 7 but gladly take a 5.
Why do you think they won't? They are going to a panel with the exact same charge that us & Everton were charged with (with bigger losses than both I believe). Will Leicester actually get a points deduction?
I predict they won’t. Hope I’m wrong.
You are right, when we have the promotion year out of the accounts we can realistically expect to push on at that point, anything else is a bonus as you say.The three sides coming up this year are collectively better than the three that came up the season prior who promptly conspired to keep us in this league.

Chelsea will just sell themselves Water Works and Marylebone Station again, to blag their way out of it.Why do you think they won't? They are going to a panel with the exact same charge that us & Everton were charged with (with bigger losses than both I believe).
And that's the one we know about, there are rumours them & Chelsea have failed the current PSR cycle too.

I've got a five pack of those in the cupboard so for me it's a very real possibilityBecause the Man City charges are coming to a head, Chelsea will theoretically be in danger too, and I can see a fudge happening
Which teams do you think our squad is better than?Have to disagree.
Year 3 with a decent squad & likely additions still.
We must be looking to move up a few notches.

Vicious circle. Teams that finish 17th get their best players targeted. Or those players push to leave. Surviving off BAU revenue streams simply isn’t a viable business model for us.The three sides coming up this year are collectively better than the three that came up the season prior who promptly conspired to keep us in this league.

Goals? Loads needed. Where are they coming from?33 points won't keep anyone up... last season was unusual in having 3 really bad teams come up, and ourselves and Everton having point deductions.
40 is the target!
Something like this. And a new manager ( obviously).37 points, 17th.
He'd take it, though. Finishing 17th just delays the march up the table by a year (or two).do you think the greek overlord would be happy with 17th position for the next 2 years ?
