• All - you probably don't need to be told, but....
Despite the Admins' best efforts some spammers/scammers/scalpers are getting through the entry system and are, astonishingly, in possession of FA Cup tickets that they, astonishingly, don't want!

It's probably a scam, and either way it's a criminal offence under section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994, (as amended by the Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006) to offer or expose tickets for sale.

Please DO NOT engage with these people - please REPORT any threads/posts offering tickets for sale in case we've not caught them.
    Thanks!

Nuno is hilarious.

He gives an absolute worst case scenario headline then when he is asked to expand further he explains probably the best case scenario we imagined as fans that he will miss 1 game & be touch and go for the next one.

Wood will probably be back on Saturday

Can Morato play full back?
Yes, played mostly left back for Benfica last season. I wouldn't be suprised to see him on the left side of a 3 off the ball and left back on the ball.

In the circumstances, it's fairly positive news. Sounds like he'll be back for the cup semi-final if not before. Moreno, Toffolo and Morato are all capable - although Villa is tricky this weekend as we're limited with Moreno. We then have to be careful how we manage things, we can exhaust Williams and Yates for the league games, as we know they're out the cup.

It'll be very interesting to see how we approach the Spurs game ahead of the cup semi-final. If we get 3 points against Everton, we can probably afford to ease off against Spurs. I know it sounds a bit silly, but with a Champions League spot looking increasingly likely, we could potentially use the league games to experiment; get some minutes for Toffolo etc.

I was expecting Aina to be out for the season, so in the circumstances, this is good news.

This. Made me laugh, Nuno has only ruled Aina out for the Villa game. Doubt for Everton, and assessed there after.

Probably means he's been given a timeline of '2 weeks or so'. Definitely not a tear or anything major then I'd say. Just a grade 1 light calf strain.

I do like the idea of him saying "a while" because it doesn't actually mean anything. If it's a light strain it could just be a few days which would still be a while, or it could be a longer injury. Bad news if it is longer term but we have other players who can play full back (admittedly not as good). It also keeps our opponents guessing, as he has done with Wood (who was unlikely to play in the cup anyway).

Get the troubling feeling that we might not see much of Aina for the rest of the season - if at all.

Be a huge loss - time for Alex Moreno to step up.

With a run of games I'm confident he can do a job, like he did in the early part of the season. Williams/Moreno is not quite as good as Aina/Williams, but given that latter combo is arguably the best in the league, we can make do!
