Well this escalated quickly.

Good luck on Saturday. I think you’ll stay up and my prediction in July will come true…

FOREST TO STAY UP and finish above Leicester.

Enjoy your football lads. I’ve got to find some pennies for ‘that London’

I’ve got an 8 year old daughter who doesn’t have a clue what’s happened tonight. She will in the morning though. She was gutted when we lost at Posh because she wanted to go to Wembley.

The vast majority of football fans don’t experience much success.. enjoy it while you can. That tonight was something else. It has to go down as Wednesday’s greatest victory.

I've a Wednesday mate I work with here and he's in Ibiza at the moment and was watching on his dad's phone through facetime because he couldn't find it anywhere else. I'm made up for him and sheff weds as I used to live nearby when I was right young and my first game was actually a Wednesday game at Hillsborough.

He flies back to canada the day after the final. If they win, he might not make it.

Our longest serving away poster was a blade, she was sound iirc. Gem?
Yes, Gem. She was really cool.

Perhaps in her case, it was because she lived away from Sheffield (Uni, IIRC?)

I know a few Blades fans back from when I was living back in my home town, and to be fair they were decent fellas.

One of them has gone on twitter this morning and said that despite it not being the result he was wanting, it’s the reason why football is such an amazing game.

The thing is, knowing him as I do it’s a genuine sentiment.

Just seen a Blunts fan saying (Partly through gritted teeth) that they're glad that we stayed up with Bournemouth because with Leicester and Everton/Leeds out of the way (Who they felt would be much improved next season if they stayed up) then we would be two of the 3 clubs that they are confident of finishing above, the play off winner being the other.

They are basing their wisdom on the championship (Where we had 5 players on loan and a central midfielder filling in as left back) and Bournemouth who finished above them comfortably. The latter having added £100m of players to that squad and us adding more obviously.

At present they've got an owner trying to sell the club to a new version of Kirchner and who won't invest in advance of it happening and Heckingbottom who as well as being a knob is also tactically naive. Theyve got 13 players out of contract and around 4 players in their squad that they own that I would see as Premier league quality (One of whom has 12 months left on his deal and doesn't look to be signing a new one), the reality is that they are in at least as bad a position as we were which quite frankly if we hadn't gone big with the spending we would definitely have been relegated and may even have been in danger of nearing the 11 point disasterclass.

I think the biggest learn for me this year is understanding the absolute gulf between championship success and Premier league quality - i thought with them being there quite recently that they would remember that!

The thought of our starting 11 without additions...

Horvarth
Laryea

Worrall
McKenna
Cook

Colback

Yates
Cafu
Fornah

Surridge
Brennan
Mighton

Safe to say, that's not winning a game all season.

At this point is it fair to start worrying about the 11 point record?!
