I knew when you didnāt reply yesterday that youād be ironing of preparing the veg just like ya pal Rocka would beI know you won't believe me, but Mrs s was home all day.
I did get the lie-in.
I did have a lovely walk with the hound.
I had my lunch made for me.
I didn't get to lounge around in the afternoon thoug - I was press-ganged into a deep clean of the longe, rather than having a deep sleep in the lounge![]()
Being a man of multiple marriages, and periods inbetween when it was just me on me own, I learned to be pretty self sufficient.I knew when you didnāt reply yesterday that youād be ironing of preparing the veg just like ya pal Rocka would be![]()
Aye I tried that marriage thing, it was a big swizz, now I just peel my own spuds.Being a man of multiple marriages, and periods inbetween when it was just me on me own, I learned to be pretty self sufficient.
And now I find I love the cooking with Radio 4 playing, and ironing, with my vinyl on the hi-fi.
Cleaing is a bit of a chore, but once you get going at it it is deeply rewarding.
...and make your own pakoras?Aye I tried that marriage thing, it was a big swizz, now I just peel my own spuds.
Euphemism of the day right there.Aye I tried that marriage thing, it was a big swizz, now I just peel my own spuds.
The day-tripping customers probably don't know about the water issues anyway. Most of them probably wonder why there are even toilets in their cocaine rooms.Maybe we could have a āLegacy Fansā sub forum for things like this?
Itās of no interest for the majority of customers who have no problems when watching on Sky Sports.
It would leave more time to focus on real issues, like being offended by swearing
They could utilise rain water harvesting for urinals and cisterns but there's no way they'd do it. It's quite a big job, so much so it's falling out of favour with architects and developers.Could they use river water in the urinals and cisterns? Leave the potable mains for the sinks perhaps?
Architects and Developers (particularly the latter group) really don't like anything that might cut their profit margins. They could utilise rain water harvesting for urinals and cisterns but there's no way they'd do it. They get away with it Raymondo because they do it cheap.Thuv built a load near Bestwood, one side private sales, other council (but will be Housing Association before long).
The private ones have a square bay window and a bit of feature brickwork and the council ones totally bog standard square bland outhouses.
How do these fukin Architects and developers get away with it? A fukin 10 yr owd kid cud be an Architect.
They're covering swathes of this beautiful country with properties that are like Dog Kennels but a Dog Kennel is more pleasant on the eye.
Another load of money grabbin ***** without a thought for anything but themselves and PROFIT.
All new build dwellings will have to comply with the amended AD Part L of the Building Regulations with a 33% reduction in emissions. Also includes other measures such as EV charging. If they do not comply they cannot sell the houses.Architects and Developers (particularly the latter group) really don't like anything that might cut their profit margins.
Mrs S and I were heavily involved in the Neighbourhood Pla process for the parish, with several other people, I hasten to add.
In design standards for new development in the parish we proposed that all new build properties must include grey-water recycling, solar panels, EV charging points, and fast broadband connectivity.
The draft plan was put out for consultation with interested parties, and the architects and developers who responded all stated that they could not realistically be expected to meet the proposed design standards.
The independent Plan Assessor (independent.. ho! ho!) agreed with them, and so the design standards had to be rewritten to exclude all of the proposed "green" inclusions.
Since the plan was approved the new housing developments have included no green measures, all come with mains gas links and gas-fired central heating and hotwater boilers. Furthermore, Melton Borough's Local Area Plan requirement that 32% of new housing on sites of more than 10 properties must be affordable ( our MBC councillor didn't understand that the implication of the term "affordable housing" was that the rest of the properties were by their logic "unaffordable") has been waived for the main new development of 74 houses because the developer argued they couldn't make enough profit with any "affordable" housing, and so the approval is being revised to include all full market properties, all with at least 3 bedrooms.
And governments wring their hands at the climate change impacts, and amount of homeless people sleeping rough on the streets.
Developers do not make any profit on the affordable housing as the sales just about cover costs - hence their reluctance to match the spec of the open market housing. This is why they sometimes use independent viability assessments to argue that a reasonable developer profit cannot be achieved if affordable housing is required but this only works where the site suffers from abnormal costs such as contamination, levels, foundations etc. They get away with it Raymondo because they do it cheap.
That means, more profit for the developers, who take their money, donāt give a F*** and leave it for someone else - typically the local Council - to deal with the fall-out.
Be careful what you wish for.Well done @Flaggers
You asked for running water at the CG, now there's gunna be a flood.

LOL, there is only one Flaggers!
Plus the shitters had actual seats, together with actual locks on the doors.Very decent toilets at Anfield. Hot and cold water, soap and good hand driers.
And a cleaning regime in place.
Knowing the Scousers...Plus the shitters had actual seats, together with actual locks on the doors.
And in the concourse there were seats for people to sit on while they supped their ale, ale which came in bottles that they didn't insist on pouring out so it was rather faster than getting ale in another stadium I know, and blow me down with a feather it was even cold.
Also a nice touch with a poster of the WFCG on the wall behind the counter in the food outlet.
