Remo Marco Freuler + Trains thread

Not sure about "hate"... Baffled indifference may be closer.
He just didnt suit the role he was needed for. Experts on here telling people they were not attuned to the game enough to see his qualities didnt help much.

I think I was probably one of the first to start questioning his role in the team alongisde MASE (we found common ground yay!) way back over Christmas and yep, we both took a lot of criticism on here for that.

Still, don't hate him, don't even have indifference for him, appreciate he tried, Cooper trusted him with captaincy so clearly was a decent egg. Just didn't have the dynamism we ask of our central midfielders.

Won't be the first or last transfer we get wrong, but in terms of "wrongness" it's not near the top of the list (hello Jonjo).

Never at any point rated Freuler & wont lose an ounce of sleep when he's gone.

Couldnt "conduct" a piss up in a brewery if we're honest, so we dont play a posession game, but there were many a time we needed a calm head on the ball & this guy went into hiding.

Ran in straight lines, never engaged, wouldn't pass forward.

Ill drive him to East Mids if required.

I've got to agree, I don't dislike the guy like I do Shelvey and Arter but there was so many times last season he would have the ball look around then pass it short to Worrall then point for him to whack it upfield and all I could ever think of is "Why the f*** don't you pass it you cowardly prick!"

he loved the safe pass, like a slightly less sideways version of Jonathan Greening.

First Forest player to score at a World Cup since PVH.

A player in his position playing his role is never going to get people off their seats or win you many points in the fantasy league, but I didnt feel he was out of place in last year's team and wish him well for the future. At worst he was a "stepping stone" player (see also Lingard) that we wouldn't have been signing fur us in the champ but showed that Forest is a valid destination for full internationals.

The irony is is those that saw through the "hE pLayEd iN ThE cHamPiONs LEaGue" were the actual experts.

An ounce of image will always weigh a lb of performance for a lot of Forest fans.

He did a job though, so thank you for helping keep us up Remo and good luck with your future endeavours!

So he stood there, pointed at a player and directed the performance? Someone should come up with a nickname based on that.

Deal to Bologna on according to Fab.

Edit: Apologies, just saw that folks picked up on it in the Dominguez thread.

We knew the light at the end of tunnel was an oncoming train, which is why the train conversation moved elsewhere.

Farewell Nemo, we found you, you lost your your way, we bought you a return ticket.

Tata duck.

Decent player for a slower paced game, fast transitions are not his game.. not his fault, it’s simply taking longer for the team to adapt

All the best Remo! Seemed a good sort and definitely tried hard for us, even if he wasn't ultimately what we needed.
