Agree completely

Just play a game, you can pick any player on the team - you can probably find 5 goals that you could nitpick as their fault even though its not, it's either individual brilliance or a collective error. The worst one this season so far when people were blaming Sangare for that screamer Wolves scored at our place.

I hate the overcritism of players like JWP & Sangare in particular just because they are the whipping boys. More popular players will do similar things & nobody would even mention it.
Agree completely look at MGW we all love him but occasionally he will give the ball away in outrageous positions but if we want the best of him we have to accept it he's the key to unlock the doors and doing his job wrong if he takes the safe pass each time

If you have the time I fully recommend the Ipswich podcast 'Blue Monday' this week as they have an absolutely brilliant match preview couple of episodes. The first one is about two games between us in the 90s where they talk about the players on each side.

The second is an hour long chat about us, our strengths, weaknesses, chat about our rise from the Championship, Marinakis and so on. It's so well researched and the knowledge about us the two presenters have is incredible.

Maybe it's because they're a newly promoted club but it makes a lovely change from the garbage, ultra-clichéd, token efforts you tend to get from 'big clubs'. If they bother to talk about the opposition at all.

Benjamin Bloom with the hair. He does a regular predictions ‘show’ and collaborates with a cohort of folks on YouTube that seem to have a definite soft spot for Forest. As a result, always loads of Reds watching his stuff and he’s taken the time to dig beyond the basic narratives.

Definitely nice to see a relative neutral call it as we see it. Much as the likes of Nick Mashiter are a coup for Forest Focus, I rarely read a piece from him on the BBC without it gripping my shit to some degree.

You’ve got to go some, to nowadays violate the „rules“ of the cesspit of shit that is now X/Twitter?

Probably they called Elon Musk a rude name or something.

It's always been a cesspit, but now - I don't know what you'd call - an infected cancerous boil festering on the soul of humanity? Probably not harsh enough. Anyway, I bet it's a copyright claim (e.g. using Premier League content or something). Unless bad-mouthing Steve Cooper now constitutes hate speech...which I'm all for BTW.

This video is a thing of beauty. We talk about the togetherness but it seems better than ever. After MGW scores, he holds Jota's face so lovingly

Also MGW is the heartbeat of this team

Forest are magic on and off the pitch!

Bloom is very knowledgeable, and a good presenter, I mentioned a year or so ago that I'm surprised he hasn't been picked up by one of the networks . Having said that he doesn't tick several bullshit diversity and inclusion boxes so I've probably answered my own question.

Matt SB is the other lad he has on regularly who has a channel with his sister Sophie. Both of them as well as BB have a soft spot for Forest. I think all 3 attended Forest games while we were on our rise in the champ. Both very good channels.

I wasn't too sure who you were talking about but i asked myself out loud "i wonder is it the long haired chap who supports Ipswich and does great Championship content" - always liked him, balanced and actually does research.

A much better article about us:

“It was always the aim of their ambitious owner, Evangelos Marinakis, to normalise winning, eventually achieving this shift in mentality, even if the strategy has not always been obvious.”

Unpalatable as it will have been for many observers and fans, Marinakis’ reactions to perceived injustice showed me and I suspect showed the players that he cared, that it mattered and that Forest meant business. Feels like there’s a shift in culture at the club from being a bit soft if we’re honest for decades to being a force to be reckoned with. Worth the odd ban and fine.

I stopped listening to all footy podcasts when I realised that no one is any better or worse that I am when it comes to making guesses on how things will pan out. You get the same level of knowledge on here too where the groupthink was that we should be happy with 17th. I always said that you’re wishing your life away if you aim for 17th.

Cold hard facts are what makes a forum or a podcast good otherwise there’s no point at all as far as I’m concerned.

There’s been an explosion of Forest content lately, and plenty of Reds falling into the trap of binging through it, such as me. These guys took a pasting in the comments for being big 6 fans without a clue trying to speak authoritatively about a club they’ve done no real research on, other than to stand on the shoulders of other lazy observers.

And I saw Paul Merson was the only one of 4 Sky pundits to say we won’t make top 6. Probably still mind blown from his eureka moment that if we’d drawn rather than won our games we wouldn’t be where we are today.

I need to go back to work.

Given tomorrow’s 50th Cloughieversary, I thought I’d mention the Green Jumper podcast as I don’t recall its being mentioned much (at all?) in here. It’s hosted by Marcus Alton, who runs the tribute website brianclough.com and has brought out several books about the great man. He has a good variety of guests from throughout Clough’s managerial career (not only at Forest) and there are plenty of great anecdotes, some new to me, some familiar. The only negative is that almost half the episodes are trailers (and slightly too long trailers at that, given the episodes are usually les than half an hour) for future episodes, but you can easily enough ignore/delete them.

Oh, and don’t forget the Radio Nottingham programme about Cloughie, which I think is at 5.00 today.
