I understand your point but think it still works as his hold up play and ability to bring others in would allow the likes of MGW to run past him.

I think improving our interplay once we get it forward will be a huge improvement as everything stalls at wood unless he is in the area

That's the way I'm looking at it. He'll naturally draw defenders with him while his holds it up, ball back into MGW and he puts into into the space they've vacated for Elanga and CHO.

It's quite rare to drop a really good player into a system and not make it work (with tweaks) - the hard bit is always getting the really good player.
