Got a few gooners at work who all said he is wank at defending, however they did say he is very pacey and decent going forward.

He went on loan last season to marseille where he played 39 times as a LWB , I think he would suit a back 5.

Added to the fact hes a decent age and clearly had something about him for Arsenal to buy him in the first place

Yup, possibly one of the worst performances from an opposition player I've seen down at the City Ground. Just checked and he lasted 35 minutes of Spence and Johnson destroying him.

It could have been an off day, as others have said he must have pedigree for Arsenal to have signed him and to have impressed for Marseille last year. But the most disappointing thing about him was his attitude that day.

And then Marseille replaced him with Lodi...

Underwhelmed from what I've seen of him. Only way this works is if he's a genuine wing back because Brennan and Djed tore him a new arsehole in the cup so I don't want him left-back.

Interesting one - there was some talk of psg being in for him based on his Marseille loan. My only knowledge of him was getting rinsed by our right hand side in that cup match, so assume he's seen as a more attacking option in a five.

Attitude wise I wonder if the only way we get deals like this over the line is if theres some kind of issue with the player - he's been higher level than us so far through his career, has a decent amount of top flight experience and is a good age. Without some kinks I doubt we'd have much chance.

I wonder if the plan is for Aina to become first choice RWB. Begs the question where does this leave Neco as you'd assume Serge would be first choice RB, unless of course Serge is off to Saudi.

Defensively looks pretty worrying, but maybe we want him for games against those teams around us when we do want to be a bit more attacking. Presumably/hopefully not a big fee.

Given the way we play I am not sure there are many of any games we can afford a LWB to be completely unable to defend. Having seen him a few times for Arsenal he has been a defensive liability.

We could perhaps get away with it if Niakhate is covering him on that side
