A 1-1 draw against second placed Wolves at the WFCG today. It keeps us three points ahead at the top of the table, with a significant better goal difference. A game that we really didn't want to lose to the draw will do.

I would love the lasses to get the promotion that they deserve. The manager Carly is a star!

That's a great result if they can keep up the form that's put them where they are.

I've just watched the highlights of yesterdays game. Forest scored a nice goal but the one conceded was a disappointment, both in the manner of it and the timing. Whatever, top of the league, six cup finals to go.

I've also watched the interview with Carly. She comes across so well, she puts some of the managers in the EPL to shame with her honest analysis and her eloquence. Very impressive.

There’s a report in the BBC that the WSL might scrap relegation, the BBC have asked if it’s a good idea. I know one person who will be against it. If relegation is scrapped I can see a court case looming considering the amount of cash EM has invested!

I read the article and it is to increase WSL to 16 teams, so teams will go up but not down.

If this happens to the Championship then they would also need to replace those teams, logical? Therefore they would need to accept more teams promoted to them.

That is how I see this panning out. Unless I'm way off the mark and probably am.

I read it a few days ago but from memory it’s a pause on relegation for a few seasons to increase number of clubs and then relegation will resume. Championship to become WSL2 or something too.

Good day for us. Beating Burnley convincingly and Wolves dropping 2 points. Looks odds-on to get promoted now..

Forest are magic on and off the pitch!

I think there's a play off between the winners of the north and south groups to decide promotion

Did I not hear recently that they’re about to end promotion/relegation in the women’s game? Or am I making it up?
I think there are plans to expand the Women's Super Leage and Championship to sixteen teams by suspending relegation for a few seasons, ie. teams get promoted but no-one goes down

Relegation would then be brought back in after there are sixteen teams in both leagues, apparently

The worry obviously is that the latter part doesn't happen and they end up sticking with a closed shop in those leagues

It's Derby at the City Ground on Sunday - anyone else going?
For gentlemen ST holders tickets there is a omplementary ticket for this one, plus, if your partner is a lady, and also a ST holder, the gentleman ST holder can clain a 2nd ticket, also F.O.C.
Me and the Mrs would have liked to have gone o this one, but my brother is driving up to see us, and we have a table booked at the Duck at Woolsthorpe for a spot of Sunday lunch.

Forgive me mods if I have sinned, I couldn’t find a thread for the women? Merge if so.

Either way, taking my son to his first ever city ground visit today to watch the Derby game.

Had to leave at 45 mins cos the big lad was bored. I must say, Derbys women’s team are absolutely garbage - Forest could have had about 7 goals in the first 15 minutes. That being said, the standard of football was so poor that you never really got excited about much; I think Forest brought down to Derbys level more than anything.

I hope if/when they get promoted, we’ll see a much higher standard of football and draw bigger crowds accordingly.

Speaking of the crowd, the Peter Taylor was basically completely full. Good to see, even if they hadn’t opened all the turnstiles so people were queuing out the car park to get in ten mins before kick off!
