Next manager to get the chop. 2023/24 Season.

Monkman

Luton Burnley on Tuesday night is going to be fascinating. I think Kompany is ok for now but if they don't get a result on Tuesday the vultures might start circling.

I doubt we'll see as many sackings as last year. The newly-promoted clubs are all relatively small, and, Everton aside, those at the bottom don't have the same delusions of grandeur as Leeds, Southampton and Leicester.

Xisco should already be sacked.

Safest job in football though. If Chansiri isn’t putting any additional money in, then I presume that extends to paying off managers.

Besides… he doesn’t like admitting to getting it wrong!

From that, I take it that Xisco gets very little, if any, sympathy from the fans for the position he's in?

I suspect many never forgave Freedman for being Pearcey's replacement Cloughie.
Probably,Otis-but I thought there was a fairly high possibility of relegation in 15/16 with the owners reaching the
end of their road and the club being under embargo.
His 13 game unbeaten league run from November 2015 was key to saving us.
I felt he was extremely unfortunate to be sacked.

No sympathy whatsoever.

Reece James can’t get a game. Marvin Johnson isn’t even registered, Will Vaulks has been replaced by a half fit Jeff Hendrick and Callum Patterson was picked as a left wing back.. James and Johnson???

He’s also dropped Liam Palmer, Dom Iorfa and Micheal Ihiekwe, all of whom are better defenders than the ones currently in the side.

Don’t get me stared on Ashley Fletcher… The striker who doesn’t score, in fact doesn’t do anything really.

I think Kompany is safe in his seat because he has Man city pedigree and is building a workmanlike team at Burnley, and that needs time.
I think the Blades boss (the horrible little man) is safe too, but purely because Blades have no money to actually sack him.
The next one to be eased out of his seat in my opinion could be either Sean Dyche, or the chap at Bournemouth.
Everton have new owners, and Dyche isn't getting the team to produce consistent;y.
Bournemouth also have the new mafia gang as owners, and they will expect a bit more than third from bottom.

Possibly Cloughie, but there's no doubt in my mind that Pearce was more unfortunate.

Stuart Pearce was obviously a fantastic player,Otis (my personal 3rd ever favourite Forest player) but I would question his managerial and tactical skills-I didn’t think it would end well when he was appointed.
It's fair enough to question Pearcey's managerial abilities overall Cloughie, but that doesn't change my personal opinon that it was profoundly wrong to sack him at that point. I'm convinced the situation was more than retrievable without having to make a change.

Pearce lost the spine of his side and best players in Hobbs, Cohen, Reid and Antonio all to injury. The difference in form pre and post those injuries was telling and sacking Pearce and replacing him ultimately changed nothing.

He might have been flawed as a manager but he never really got the chance to demonstrate anything other than good form with a full complement of players and bad form with injuries.

At the start of the season you would never have put ten Hag's name in this thread, but the worm has turned. Now openly being discussed, by the man himself, too.

Mai Hughes sacked last night from the Bradford job.

You’d have to say that’s him pretty much done in football now.
