Surely if we've been done as his sale was too late, he must go into this year.

I suspect we will still need to book a big sale. I’d rather we shifted Danilo on, personally, but we have a very accomplished LCB in Niakhate so succession planning for Murillo is very simple.

Yew right annorl, Stone Cold.

Thing is, in terms of Marillion . . . . Man City or Real Madrid will want him and - to be fair to the lad - he'll probably want to go, so izzul not be wi' us for long, sadly.

He might want to stay; ay sproggs 'n bring up in Sneinton, call 'um Kyle and Chantelle and tek his retirement as an owd Notts lad. Free lunch in Hooters on a Wednesdee, a couple o' free rides at Goose fair and climbing up into the heavens in the Main Stand to do commentary alongside Darren Fletcher to do comms for Century106 a few years from now . . . but it's unlikeleh. Enjoy 'im whilst yer can, duck.

We have money coming in for Mangala. I suspect Dominguez, Vlachula and Montiel will also be on their way. Plus some high salaries going - Divock etc. would hopefully cover any losses?

Definitely rather lose Danilo than Murillo though, we surely have to hang on to Murillo as long as possible.

I agree, hang on to the decent players and get shot of the duff ones, then take stock. We might still be foul of the rules, but don't sell until we gave to. We haven't got such good players that we can afford to let any go without a fight.

We probably need to clear £50m of book value profit to give us room to invest in the squad over the summer.

Nico was £8m-ish on a 5 year deal so book value of £6.5m-ish left

Vlach was about £4m on a 4 year deal so BV £3m

Danilo was £17m on a 6 year deal so a BV of £11.3m

If we sell Nico for £20m, Vlach for £5 and Danilo for £30m that is £33m profit on the books so still not close enough to where we need to be IMO

He has saved us so many times this season - must do everything possible to keep him. This is why I hate FFP as it forces smaller teams into selling their best players. In a few years he will be playing for an elite club, everyone can see that, but keep hold of him for as long as possible please Forest.

Got to keep both Murillo and Danillo - of the best players in the squad and very young - great investment.
