We probably knead this kind of player more than a winger, although I can see SP's raisining.

Clubs hoarding young guns is the single most significant thing which is ruining football IMO. Not only through their lack of game time, but from the easy-life setup it's created by making the quickest way to a better & wealthier life and often a player's - certainly their agents - top priority, to try by any means possible to engineer your way to signing a big contract at a big, fashionable club, where you can then semi-retire aged 22.

It's crackers. I'd love to see a pound for pound breakdown of big money youth signings over the past 10-15 years, and how many goals/trophies/promotions etc. that's returned.

That's easy said when it's conker season! ;)

Indirectly it possibly has returned trophies. If a club signs up all the prospects, it stops them getting experience and developing at another club and being signed by a competitor when they have shown they can make it in the adult game. If the team that signs the as a youngster fails to draw their promise out of them because they ruin their love of the game, so what, nobody else gets their benefit.

Personally I'd like to see a limit of say two loanees in/out of a club. Hopefully that would stop teams like Chelsea stockpiling players like football cards and let the players develop as part of a team they belong to rather than being contractors for a big club. At the moment it feels too much like the third party ownership that caused so much controversy with Tevez.

It's glaringly obvious that the way Chelsea and other clubs use the loan system challenges the integrity of the competition. But so long as it benefits those with the power it won't change. Dyke even encourages it with his B teams in the football league idea pretending he is trying to help the English national side.

No to this guy. Even if he goes to help a rival instead. I'd still be happier not having to support another of Chelsea's bitches. Better dead than smeg.

Team of reserves playing last night and he still didn't get on the pitch. God only knows why Mourinho doesn't want to loan him out.

Wouldn't it be good if every football club in the world joined hands in the summer and agreed not to take on any Chelsea loanees?

100 pseudo Chelsea players with nowhere to go.

It's Brewster's Millions with Chelsea.

They can sign on millions of players, but they have to pass them all off on loan before the deadline. If they end up with players left doing nothing when they meet the agents in the boardroom after the windows close then they fail. The agents will be unhappy and they won't get any more. If they succeed in finding a place for them all to go, the agents bring let them have ten times more next time.

Chelsea can't afford to be fussy. They've limited time. If club in the top of the hampionship is willing to take one, they'll send him.

I doubt the financial reason is the issue. It's the lack of professionalism in not paying the money that's the issue.

So what...we might not be allowed any more Chelsea players on loan?

Chelsea will never loan us another player after the Hutchinson and Chalobah fiascos.

Hutchinson was Chelseas fault, he was doing fine for us, then he got an injury, Chelsea demanded he go back to theirs for treatment, which he did and their doctors f**ked up his treatment which meant he wasnt much of a factor for us the rest of his loan
