@DTguardian up to Ince now but should get sorted at some stage tomorrow. Been knocked back a few times for Lewis Baker at Chelsea too

According to Percy we have been (and still are) interested in signing Lewis Baker from Chelsea. 19 year old midfielder - highly rated

No. Sod off Chelsea. We will not be your enablers. If Lewis Baker (if that is even his real name) wants to play football, he should have signed a contract with a club who might actually be interested in picking him.

Don't care who we help if it helps us get promoted. To be fair I think he came through their academy rather than him being signed from a lower league club

There are few things in sport more sickening than the Chelsea reservification of world football.

I'd like to see any goals scored by your player for another club be counted as own goals. A winning goal, assist, save or tackle by a Chelsea player that wins a match for another team should be deducted from Chelsea's goal difference and points tally accordingly. Winning games for other teams is not the idea in competitive sport.

Super Koopa
He's only ever played 3 minutes for them, last season.

Let's be realistic, if Ryan Bertrand, who was a shoe-in to replace Ashley Cole until they spent £16m on a Brazilian who is actually quite average and struggled against the mighty Shrewsbury, is cast aside, this Baker lad has zero chance. I thought Bamford was supposed to be getting a look in this season too? Chalobah, McEachran, Romeu, Kakuta... all these so called superstars in waiting. Not to mention signing players like Parker, Moses, Lukaku etc then shipping them straight back out the door. It's f***ing stupid that a club has 26 players out on loan.

I'd never even heard of him before this thread but according to his Wiki page, Mourinho reckons he'll play for England whilst he's manager at Chelsea. Now a full member of the 1st team squad without ever being sent out on loan. Can't see this one happening!

:tophat:

Clubs hoarding young guns is the single most significant thing which is ruining football IMO. Not only through their lack of game time, but from the easy-life setup it's created by making the quickest way to a better & wealthier life and often a player's - certainly their agents - top priority, to try by any means possible to engineer your way to signing a big contract at a big, fashionable club, where you can then semi-retire aged 22.

It's crackers. I'd love to see a pound for pound breakdown of big money youth signings over the past 10-15 years, and how many goals/trophies/promotions etc. that's returned.

You can't beat the kids of the 70's, we made our own fun then.

That's easy said when it's conker season! ;)
