Gives our squad players valuable experience at a v good standard. If it helps Oly then great. The better they are the better it is for us. Let’s be real about it they can offer CL football as a carrot so if they can get to the group stages like in previous times they would be a big draw for elite players.

EM directs more resource to us, invests more in us, we stash the occasional player in their squad, Richards being the next. We get use of their recruitment execs on our transfer dealings. Once in a while we throw them a bone. This guy could be one.

Seems like we get the better end of the relationship. I simply find the criticism of how we operate with Oly baffling when it’s clearly been to our long term advantage under EMs ownership.
When we are at risk of breaching FFP it's important not to be spending money/wages on players for them.

Infrastructure etc doesn't count towards FFP, and we no doubt pay money toward the scouts/recruitment people as we have more money than Oly.

Richards going over is fine, that should be beneficial to both sides, buying a player who will no doubt be bomb squads by them I. 2 months and then a drain on our wages for the next 4 years isn't....

With all those posts about the relationship between the two clubs, one would think the player is already here and playing for us.

I've never heard of him and there has been no rumours at all of him coming to us.
