Can add “can’t set up a wall” to the list of things our keepers can’t do.

Except it was but Yates jumped in? And the ball was moved quite a bit?

The ref won’t let him take the free kick until the keeper is ready. So if Toney moved the ball, Turner should’ve reset his wall. This is basic stuff at any level. Yates was even gesturing at Turner that he thought it wasn’t covered.

Both keepers are poor at this level. We need a goalkeeper who is competent at a premier league level and neither are. I think Turner would be a good championship keeper and Vlachodimos would be a decent traffic cone.

I think Turner should have readjusted the wall after ibet ivan moved the ball.
He could also have complained to the referee but Turner is just not street wise enough.
The big gap that was left is turners fault because he should have took control of the situation and had a word with the ref

Sutton, on Radio Nottingham says Turner wouldn't be able to see that the ball had been moved and the wall should take responsibility. Sutton talks some shite but he was a goalkeeper.

Turner checked after Toney moved it the first time - at that point the guys in the wall (and CHO standing right there) need to step up, too. Granted, the freaking officials need to spot that, it was egregious and blatant cheating.

All the players should have been more switched on. Didn’t Toney score a similar free kick against us last season. He was always going to shoot-given the position and his ego. As a right footer very likely to go in that corner. Get CHO in wall as extra man, get a man on post, players go to ref to signal ball in not correct position-got to be more switched on. Thinking about Samba’s antics-would he have kicked off, got refs attention, got us more time to organise etc.

Still absolutely gash with his feet. I've never seen a footballer at any level outside of Sunday league so uncomfortable with his feet
This is what is so entertaining about this board - Turner did not do anything wrong with his feet today; he made passes and moved the ball effectively. And sent it long when needed. Certainly wasn't the prettiest with his feet but he was certainly more assured and effective with them today.

Seriously. I saw him stick at least one in the stand unnecessarily and he played one out where he contorted his body so much it looked like a game of extreme twister

That's disengious because that wasn't said. He's consistently awful with his feet, it gives the defence absolutely no confidence and it's a lottery what happens with the ball. That shouldn't be the case
It's disingenuous to bang on him after a game he did nothing wrong with his feet. He was fine today - as stated he moved the ball effectively today. The defense let him down, not the other way around, today.

He literally did do things wrong with his feet. Planting it into the stand whilst under no pressure and getting you're feet in such a muddle that you almost give the ball away in the area is neither disingenuous to point out or acceptable for a PL keeper who constantly does it
