It's clickbait-tastic from the Post but we're apparently doing a deal for a young Swedish striker Julian Larsson from AIK. Must be for the U23's given his age and experience.

Don't you have a scouter dedicated to Scandinavian football?

Can't seem to find footage but it is a good sign he is playing Sweden u19s as an u18.

Good stuff!

What's his dad like? Anyone know?

Frankly if he’s Swedish, it’s his mum you should be more interested in.

I don’t understand how this guy is an improvement on Mir though. If it’s one for the future than fair enough but is he’s the backup then same mistake happening all over again.

He’s got a pulse, and he appears to have two eyes that work.

That’s improvement enough.

I was going to say I'd be an improvement on Mir, despite my great age and lack of footy ability.

The late Professor Stephen Hawking could also probably give Rafa Mir a pretty good go.

What do you know about him mate?

My old man was speaking with Gary Brazil last year(around September) and he was raving about him!! Been keeping tabs on him since as it was quite clear we were very serious about acquiring him. He’s definitely one that we’ve got in before the other ‘big’ clubs that have been watching him pulled the trigger on.
Nick Marshall (ex Forest academy coach and now with Liverpool’s academy) rates him VERY highly.
A very good bit of business by all accounts!!

Cheers!

Look like we're backing him if he's got a 3yr deal at 18. Not something we do all that often.

Hopefully it pans out for the lad!

Larsson is a red.

Nottingham Forest are delighted to welcome striker Julian Larsson to the club.

The highly-rated 18-year-old joins the Forest Academy from Swedish top-flight side AIK.

The centre-forward has come through the academy ranks at AIK and has made a number of appearances on the international stage, including in the UEFA European Under 17 Championships.

Larsson had attracted interest from Europe's elite and now joins Trentside on a long-term deal.
