Joseph Adrian Worrall (The Former Club Captain!)

Interesting to think back to the preseason friendly at our place - if I've got the right game Joe and Marinakis looked very warm to each other in a post game chat...

At the time I thought it might represent a shift on the club's stance towards Joe, but given it was apparently decided Joe was of prior to Nuno's arrival I now infer they were probably marking the occasion of it being Joe's last game for us at the City Ground.
Something may have gone off between Coops and Worrall that we're not privy too, but I doubt that there is any animosity between the club as a whole and Joe. I wouldn't be surprised if the club would have been happy for him to stay but be far down the pecking order (4th or 5th choice), which is fair enough, and also fair enough for him to seek out 1st team football. In the words of a certain ex-manager it is what it is. Hope he does really well at Burnley and gets another crack at the Prem. Good luck Joe!

Good luck Joe.

I think that’s a decent signing for Burnley at that price. You can’t have a whole squad of young talent that you want to sell on for profit; you need a bit of experience and stability too. Worrall will be decent for them at a time they are losing a couple of centre halves (one to Strummer’s lot I believe).
