Financial Fair Play (FFP)

I think it's a simple case that club knew they were going to breach with the late Johnson sale but wanted to get that extra money for him so were open with it, liaised with the Premier League about it during the summer thinking that (at that point) no points deductions had been given for any PSR breaches so would likely get away with a fine, which I can understand to some extent

I dare say if they knew then what they know now they might well have done things differently
I also think we planned for a higher league table finish, which in realty would have made any points deduction irrelevant from a relegation perspective. But it hasn’t panned out that way on the pitch.

The Commission made some bizarre comment about the forensic job the Trust had done & said there wasn't any room for such a document in the process...........which is laughable when you consider how long Man City & the lawyers have been arguing with the PL & I bet that is down to the level of minute detail.
I still think Forest were shafted by the PL.......why wouldn't Promotion Bonuses be allowed? I thought - laughing - that it was a level playing field & only promoted clubs paid such bonuses & should be outside of the PSR calculation.

The obvious thing to do regarding bonuses would be to increase the allowed losses in the promotion season to be in line with the PL equivalent. They won't though will they, because twats.

So based on this we are permitted a 13mil loss in 2024 right ? And we’ve got 47m clear income for BJ to help towards that. Can’t see us needed another early major sale tbh, likely need to clear another 10-15mil in sales generated ‘profit’ before July.

Edit - scrap that, it’s only 2 PL seasons isn’t it…. So yeah we need to generate more profit 😂

Forest lost an average of £3m across 2020 and 2021 with a further £40m loss in 2022 and £52m in 2023, amounting to a total of £95m.

Having had time to reflect on the appeal outcome I'm starting to get really angry with the club. Why did we not focus on the promotion bonus, Covid losses, and the late notice provided that these wouldn't be acceptable.

.

... it's almost as if the narrative we've been fed around those topics never really happened.

And if I see one more instance of someone claiming "verbal agreement with the EPL blah blah" - who the f*** is relying on verbal agreements with hundreds of million pounds at stake.

For all those conspiracy theorists - an excerpt from todays Sky Sports App:

’There is the mouthwatering prospect of Forest needing to go to Turf Moor on the final day of the season needing a result to stay up’.

I mean Carraghers watery mouth has caused a few issues in the past and I'm not sure Gary Nevilles drivel counts either.

Sky can get bent, we are securing safety today because we love disproving those cretins.

Well let's see how many points we actually avoid relegation by in the end, 4, 6 or on goal difference
Why ? At one stage we we’re discussing 12 points, maybe 10 etc.

Anything more than the 4 points would have us seriously shitting ourselves heading into the Burnley game. Some are still worried about goal difference….

Well, yesterday’s results certainly pissed on SKY’s chips.

Man Utd win/draw today. City beat Spurs on Tuesday. Title race over. Champions league race over. Real shame for SKY.

Please let this happen. Sky trying to hype up a complete non-event of a last day would be hilarious.
Oh they'd actually LOVE it.

All channels showing "The first 'last game of the season since Jurgen Klopp announced he was leaving Liverpool at the end of the season' " 🤮

Wall-to-wall "You'll never walk alone" from midday to 7pm

So much teeth on show you'll have to turn the brightness right down.

Simpering fawning interviews with bubble-permed scousers saying that Klopp is better than Shankley, Paisley, the Pope, Mother Theresa

Christ alfuckingmighty it'd be the most awful thing you'd ever see in your life :x
