Financial Fair Play (FFP)

The PL have really played this whole saga awfully.

They're going to look terrible if/when they relegate Burnley in a courtroom this week, and put Luton on life support in the process.

I expect the announcement to come soon but it to say that Forest is not getting any points back
That wasn't what I asked. When would you make the announcement given the relegation proposition?

Let’s get one thing straight - if Luton and/or Burnley get relegated it will be because they have struggled to get to 30 points over the course of the season. Nothing else. In any other season, or if Leeds for example had stayed up at Forest’s expense last year, they’d both be relegated already.

Whenever Forest make one of their statements complaining about whatever it is this time they get told to shut up, stop whining, and start winning football matches. Often by our own fans. Nothing really against the other two clubs but if Burnley and Luton want to stay in the premier league maybe they should heed that advice.

Obviously, I hope they don’t start winning for our sake. It’s a tough league.

I agree. Luton and Burnley deserve to be relegated and regardless of any potential points return I expect they will both be plying their trade in the Championship next season

Percy suggesting Burnley could be relegated without a ball being kicked, Forest confident of Points reduced.
Cant see sky allowing that to happen. With the title, Champions a league spots and “the race for 7th” likely to be done by the last game, they’ll want their “Súper Sunday” to hype up the week before!
I don’t think we’ll get any back but if we do it won’t be until relegation has been sorted.

Sky aren't showing any of Burnley's last two games.

Sky will have no say in the panels decision or when it's released, I know we like to think Sky control everything but they don't. It could be decided before we even kick a ball next week.

I admire your faith and optimism

Nuno has twice now - both pre & post Sheff U game - referenced how many points we have. On both occasions he referred to a range ( pre game 30 down to 26 & post game 33 down to 29 ) - made me wonder if he knows something ( not ruling out as many as 4 points being returned ).

This is literally a bunch of KCs making the decision, it's got nothing to do with the Prem, PGMOL or SKY.

Sky will have plenty to show on the last day, Arsenal and Man City potentially winning the title is far more exciting than Forest and Luton going down...

Newcastle, Chelsea and Man U for the conference League would probably attract more attention than us Vs Burnley and Luton Vs Fulham.

Even if Sky had a say, which I’m sure they don’t, I doubt Forest vs Burnley on final day is quite the draw some are making it out to be when the title is likely to still be up for grabs.
Exactly I can't imagine sky sports saying, shall we show Arsenal in second 2 points off City (or possible on the same points) and also show the Man city game.... Or that massive game of Forest Vs Burnley with Burnley already relegated 🤔🤔

In some ways effectively relegating Burnley on Tuesday would make it easier for them. Probably make more off a Man United friendly is the sad reality.

If we were to get points back - no difference between 1 or 2.
In both instances Burnley relegated.
In both instances Luton would need to win both their games to have any chance of survival ( unless of course we were to do a ‘Stoke’ & capitulate totally in last 2 games ).

I would find it hard to believe any club has advance knowledge of the appeal outcome. You could not assure it wouldn't be leaked. Plus, it has nothing to do with anyone other than Forest, EPL and the panel, so there is no reason in the slightest why Burnley or Luton should have been told.

Only difference is that we would only need 1 point even if Luton get 6. The likelyhood of Luton getting 6 is very slim when they have 26 from 36 games..

Instead of whinging, appealing and complaining about how unfair life as a Premierleague Club is, we would have been better served doing what Everton did with their first points deduction and using it as a tool to get everyone at the club onside.
Everton did whinge, appeal and complain about unfair it was. The appeal part gave them 4 of their points back.

With reference to the proposed Govt regulator, I would say the Prem has illustrated quite clearly this season just why a regulator is required. The regulation by the League has been pathetic. Every move has led to a new problem. Not saying the Govt would be any better with their ideas, but the Prems shambolic muddles have made it clear they can't do the job on their own.

And why is there even debate on when the points appeal is announced. The League decided on the course of action, the process has run it's course and the appeal result should be announced when known. It doesn't matter how it impacts the League table, it will impact it whenever it's announced.
