Fancy a European tour?

Your lot need to pull their finger out and get back in the CL places.
Too many injuries.

Four men who’d be definite starters ruled out.

Is this where i point out the average for 4th place over the last 10 seasons is 1.84 ppg

Our current is 1.82

And there may be 5 champs league places.......

MNF last night stating that 5th is 97.8% certain of getting a Champs League spot next season. Not sure how they work it out but seems pretty nailed on if so. Would mean top 8 spots for Europe assuming top 8 also win the cups.

I had Liverpool, Arse, Chelsea and Man City taking top 4. Despite resent form and results I still see that being the case. Opta's predicted table backs that up too, and has us fighting Newcastle and Villa for the 5th-7th spots.

We still have to visit both of course. Hoping Villa's CL run works against them in the League and Newcastle get distracted by the EFL Cup. Could probably do with Spurs beating them this weekend.

The wildcard is of course Man City

If they get done with a point deduction, they will want it to happen this season so they can have a clean start next year.

Newcastle are going to be trouble, they have no European football & we have seen they are a really strong side when they get in their groove. European football is completely realistic, top 5 will take a huge effort & another window of excellent recruitment.

The next half of the season will be relentless and it’s precisely now that the club need bring in strategic targets to a top 6 finish. That means any incoming player will need to be up to speed ie a prem league player. That’s where I’m thinking which prem player would add to the team right now? We seem to have the players to do the job? even JWP looked quite decent against Everton. All players have performed so well it’s fantastic

So if we finish 5th we may need to cheer on Liverpool to win the thing for us to qualify? I've never had to face a moral conundrum like that in my life. I'm in a panic at the thought of it!

As the season has gone on, I find myself changing the position I think Forest will finish. After the Liverpool win, I was confident we'd avoid being relegation candidates... after Leicester away, I thought we'd be top half... after United away, I thought we could push for a European spot... after the Christmas period, we're now pushing for top 4 and for the title!! The team just keeps defying critics and pundits.

Now that we're in such a good position, there's part of me that will be disappointed if we don't get a European spot i.e. finish top 7 or 8. I can't believe I'm even saying those words!!

There might be a drop off, but then again, we might just keep going. February looks like a tough month, but December looked tricky and we've smashed it. I'm not sure how we'll approach the cup run, head says it might be a distraction, heart says let's win the thing!!

I was a little bit too young to remember the mid-nineties, my first season ticket as an 18 year old was in the League One days, so I'm of that generation who has seen very little success. It just feels soooooo good to be a Forest fan at the moment, talking about Europe, winning away and being back in the big time :D

As there is nil chance of me ever going on a European tour, I'm still content if we beat the drop.

But for all, it would be fun to qualify for something.

We’ve got Danilo and Sangare coming back. That’s like two new 30m signings which for the first 19games we didn’t have.
We need another centre forward, to not rely on Wood (who’s been amazing).
If Tamori of AC Milan is available for 20m€ id chip in a few quid.
But completely agree with the owner, today our biggest asset is the team spirit and togetherness. Something you cannot buy. Whatever leaves of comes, cannot disrupt what we current have.

We’re already safe now and qualifying for Europe would be amazing.

Tbh I’d take 10th place if we could win the FA Cup. I’m lucky enough to have seen us win everything else and growing up as a kid in the 70’s this competition has always been special - I can but only dream at this point.

Then next season win the Europa League and do the domestic double.

Let’s take it one trophy at a time

Imagine the first away game if we do make it i very much doubt I'd be able to get a ticket due to not being an away member but I sure as f*** will be over wherever it is as I think most of nottingham would be

They were talking about this on TalkSPORT the other day and someone mentioned that we’d take about 11,000 to our first away game in Europe. Probably not too far off to be fair ! 😂

The knock on effect of no Man City destroying the league and hogging all the points is that the expected points for each other position at the top will be higher. Still this is encouraging news:
