Apparently Miltadis has bought the controlling share in Rio Ave. Do you reckon that will see him spending less time with us or is just EM spreading the ownership percentages around in case another one of his teams qualify for Europe?

Probably the second one.

The latter; it's no accident that the percentage of shares is 80%, the same as in Forest. And I think that the president he put in charge of Rio Ave, an Israeli hedge fund manager, will be involved in creative accounting tricks....

Excellent, getting the Jewish lads in on the accounting, those chaps know what they are doing.

Edit: This isn't a slur btw, I work on the accounting industry and these chaps are genuinely wizards in my experience.

According to a well-connected Oly reporter (the one who broke the story about the purchase of Rio Ave), EM is about to buy a French club, and the purchase of Monza in Italy is still not off the table.
The latest acquisition rumour is that he wants to buy a club at the MLS.

That was the first Indian restaurant I ever went to. Is it still going Ray?
I think it was my first as well m8, loved it in there with me mates, the table looked like a Chimpanzee's tea party time we left, the waiter used to get the four corners of the once pristine table cloth, throw them in the middle and then sling it ova iz shoulda ! 😂

No, it's long gone Quintz.

I don't know the reasoning behind some of these decisions lately but being compliant with PSR and staying at the City Ground are addressing two of the biggest issues that we all had last season. I can only really speak for myself but I didn't really enjoy feeling that negative about the club last year and there was a bit of a run when the club seemed to be making mistake after mistake.

Renewed my membership and with that, I'm ready for Chesterfield next week and can we f*** these European Championships off so the real football can come back?

I agree with all that we'll done forest and same here looking forward to Chesterfield now

EM is a fantastic owner, everyone makes the odd mistake but you can't question his heart is in the right place. He's not here for a quick buck and wants success on the pitch and has put the money where his mouth is.

He lives and breathes Forest like a fan. Last 2 seasons have been stressful but I suspect we are now approaching the tipping point of becoming a club which can survive reasonably comfortably.

The journey has only just begun, strap on for the ride.

Owner investment and its link to PSR that isn’t always clear. Taken from another article :

In the simplest terms, when every Premier League team tots up their annual accounts, they can have made a loss no greater than £105m across the previous three seasons.

Sounds straightforward, but this would be a very short explainer if it were that easy. There are a fair few caveats and sub-clauses to keep any club on their toes before they can find itself in the clear, or not...

For a start, not all losses are created equal.

Clubs can only lose £15m of their own money across those three years. So that's no more than £15m extra on outgoings like transfer fees, player wages and, in a lot of clubs' cases, paying off former managers compared to their income from TV payments, season tickets, selling players and so on.

Anything above that, up to the £105m barrier, must be guaranteed by their owners buying up shares, known as 'secure funding', and essentially means bankrolling the club.
