That absolutely any Forest fan is currently even considering protesting against the ownership - yes, they may have a few mis-steps, but f*** me, Forest aren‘t in League One, are they? - is quite frankly absolute nonsense, and anyone who supports this at the present time needs to give their head a wobble.

Campaigning to get rid of Marinakis would be the equivalent of throwing the baby out with the bathwater.
And if you want evidence of that look how well things went when Nigel Doughty was driven out, even before his untimely death.
In fact, I'd go as far as to say if there was a campaign to get rid of Marinakis I'd be tempted to campaign to keep him, for good or ill.

Marinakis has gone up in my estimation.
Bringing in Murphy was smart. Last year's plan worked. This year's isn't. Biggest problem is the goal -top half, challenging for Europe- is unrealistic. The resources and tactics-playing style and players bought were to challenge for top half. It's a mess. I'm sad to see him go, but when a CEO agrees targets and gets resources to execute the plan but can't deliver - their time is up. It's sad. But it's business.
(and that's leaving the commercial mess to one side - David Cook left a big gap - to my mind not really replaced)
The new Sporting Director, according to reports (Percy et al) has been told to create a new plan with a new goal "Survival". He'll then consider tactics and resources to execute the plan.
I do wonder if we'll see a new playing style and different team selection to grind out results to aim for survival.
Bouremouth, post Parker, seem to be achieving that by packing out the midfield.
Think we'd all get a lift with a scrappy 1-0 battling win against Villa.

I believe Marinakis cares and has the best intentions so we should be very careful with that train of thought because there are much worse owners out there. Imagine having the Glazers, for example? Or Fawaz back? No thanks.
He's human and makes mistakes just like the rest of us. Having lived the history we have, that's why we're all here as fans to tell him and point him in the right direction. Not shove him out the door.
