Diop Tehuti Djed-Hotep Spence

I think the Djed v Elanga conversion is worth having if there's a serious offer on the table.

It's a risk as obviously Elanga settled here and a natural winger, neither of which can be said for Spence.

So it would have to come as a makeweight for something else for me.

Yes, and we already know the gap between the divisions and at present Spence is nothing more than a good 2nd tier right back

Not really what we need

If we're having a conversation about converting a player to a different position - then it should be with a player we own. Not a loan who'll spent most of the time learning and adjusting, and then his parent club are the ones who get the real benefit.

He can't get in a very average Spurs team as a right back. Even if either Aina or Williams is leaving he's not good enough for us in that role now.

Maybe converted into a winger? He's got the pace. But not as a loan.

The loan would likely come with an option to buy I suspect.

Would give us the ability to see if the conversion could work without much initial outlay.

but why when we have Neco and Aina who are far better?
Aina hasn't signed up yet and in a few weeks can talk to foreign clubs...

And Williams' deal is up summer 2026 so it's crunch time for both him and the club now. He had interest from Italy in the summer and the club may cash in if he's wanting regular first team football.

The Spence ship sailed when we got promotion. Lad needs a top half Championship club to try and kick his career on, otherwise he's only sometimes warming the bench at White Hart Lane.

Get him singed FFS
You lot realise the rumours are based on an 'ex spurs scout' saying something along the lines of 'Forest might fancy him back because he did well there a few years ago'. Zero chance.

Yeah, saw the same article. Incredibly lazy journalism making up a rumour out of nothing.

Must be, think cooper knew how to get him playing, we would probably see the same as every other club that’s had him if he came back rather than what we had in the promotion season.

Can't Play Left-Back
Loved him. In the same way I love Colback, Mckenna, Worrall, Cook, Garner, Surridge, Davis, Grabban, Zinckernagel, Lolley and Cafu. But just like them, they're not at our level anymore. There were 3 players of the required level - Samba who we let go on the cheap, Brennan who we sold for a lot of money and Yates who is still here because he keeps improving despite his doubters. Sorry Djed, you had potential but you wasted it by going to Spurs and not playing. If you want to make it at the top level, you'll need to drop down and build your way back up. We're not that project anymore.

We need to start improving the quality and becomming more clinical when we get into good positions. So clearly the best option is to get a player back who was excellent at running with the ball in the Championship and exciting to watch, but 99% of the time couldn't pick out a cross of clinical pass when he got there.

Anyone want to resurrect the Oliver Burke thread?
Why, is anyone planning to resurrect Oliver Burke's career first?

He is chipping in with the occasional goal for SV Werder Bremen, and has become something of a cult hero for late appearances from the bench.
