Diop Tehuti Djed-Hotep Spence

He has turned into a very good player. I honestly wasn't expecting his game to keep going up, but it has. He would be an ideal player to add this summer, as he has shown he can play either flank, which would give us three good fbs who can play either side.

I am not sure he'd fit into our team now.
Would he displace Aina?
Would he displace Williams?
I think not.
He might. He's been real good for Spurs. I think what he would offer, as per my post above, is some flexibility in how often we use Neco and Ola. We will be playing 50+ games next year, and those two are worn out as it is. And competition for spots is never a bad thing. But Spence would probably cost upwards of 50 million now, and not certain we can afford that in that position.

£50 million?
Is that a guess, or have spurs indicated offers at or above would be required to make them sell?
Of course Levy may have a view that £50m is about right...

I’ll just leave this here…

The fan was obviously a prawn sandwich plastic who knows nothing about the team and the players he in my opinion supports.
He was the sort who would get the autograph and promptly put it on EBay.
I'm with Djed on this one.
Its a child for f*** sake, Spence could've just been polite & given the lad an autograph rather than acting like an egotistical nob head

For what it's worth there were pictures other people took of him signing something for him, so not sure if he went back or if it was the next day

Either way was all BANTZ innit

In the days when signatures were actual names and, mostly, legible he could’ve put “I’m not Udogie, but best wishes - Djed Spence”. The kid would’ve realised his mistake, but got an autograph anyway and had a nice anecdote to relate in years to come. And Djed would’ve had an amusing tale to share with Udogie and his team-mates. Instead, it seems he chose to portray a different image of himself.

Harder to do that these days when they just scrawl a squiggle and a number, admittedly.

Gotta spell Undoggie then though. Not easy apparently.

I got John McGovern‘s autograph on my program for the match against Dynamo Berlin and it was very eloquently written and perfectly legible.

And no need for a „squad“ number back then either. You knew who John McGovern was!

I wonder what the “hit rate” would be if fans were set the task of writing down the names of every player to have played for their club’s 1st team over the last 3 seasons.
