Yeah Stone was in the Euro 96 squad. Came on as a sub in a few games.
Stone (indirectly) got me ejected from the Aston villa Directors' Box.
I was a guest of the company I worked for solicitors at a Vill v Forest game.
Executive Box, lavish food and drink...
Pre-kick-off there used to be a draw and the winning Exec Box got to go and sit in the Dorectors' box.
We were losing 1-0, and I had been the model of decorum.
Then Stoney went on a mazy dribble and lashed in a late equaliser.
I was upp, out of my seat (2 rows behind Chairman Doug Ellis).
He turned and said to a flunkey, get him out of my box.
Later I supped in the Directors' suite and chatted to various players... told Stoney my story.
I also met Roy Wood (lovely guy) and some iolinist called "Kennedy" - absolute tosser.

Hi everyone, hope you’re doing well. Some Forest supporters asked me to do a video on Dean Henderson after I shared my thoughts on Taiwo Awoniyi a couple of weeks ago (which some of you may remember) so here it is. It’s from about 20 days ago when the rumour first started but obviously more relevant now that Deano’s officially signed. I’d love to hear your thoughts and am more than happy to answer any questions you may have in mind. Will also do one on Giulian Biancone tomorrow if you’re interested. Cheers and have a great weekend!

I got kicked out of an executive box at Old Trafford when Forest drew 1-1 there for celebrating too much (I worked for one of Manure‘s sponsors at the time).

Superb signing.

Don't want to jinx anything or appear a bit downbeat, but I think he'll get every chance to impress the England selectors as he might be a bit busy.

I really don't think Worrall, Cook and McKenna will be much less effective in the PL.

Cook has played in the PL for Bournemouth, McKenna has played in SPL (probably top Championship standard) and is an international, and Worrall has been one of the top defenders at this level for a while.

Really depends on who we get at full back/wing back.

I've met Kennedy the violinist, in the early 90s we all had fake memberships for the jubilee club (one of the lads was a printer) and at Forest v Villa game we went in at HT and Kennedy a Villa fan was there with his girlfriend a Forest fan so we gave him a load of good natured stick & to be fair to him he was straight to the bar & bought us all a pint

I’m I right in thinking in one game we had Pearce, Des and Charlie on the field together for England ? And in another we had four ( Harry and Webb) included ………
I'm sure that back in the 80s I remember the London biased press spunking themselves daft that Arsenal had 4 players in the England team, next England friendly I'm sure we had Pearce, Walker, Hodge, Webb & Clough all on the pitch at the same time
Cockney media didn't give a f*** though

A former sister in law (from Mrs S No.2) was a professional musician (violinist), and trained at the Guildhall in London.
Kennedy was in her study group.
I'd not heard her swear before, but when I told her I'd met the K she said she thought him a right knobhead.
Still, buying you the beers means he ain't all bad.

I once sang “we don’t care, Stevie Stevie stone” as SS walked towards and passed me in the metro centre early one morning 20 years back, he smiled/smirked as we went our separate ways, loved Stoney

I remember my boss saying to me after Forest gained promotion in 1977-‘I hope the Forest goalkeeper
has got a strong back(to pick the ball out of the net)’.
Luckily,we signed ‘Peter the ‘keeper with nothing to do’ and everything was hunky dory.

he is

Musicians often decry the populists though when in fact all they do is make the instrument and music more accessible to the general public.

Kennedy is a very good violinist, and plays a large range of repertoire very well, as well as trying to make it more appealing. People say similar things about Cameron Carpenter, but he's a very good organist, and can do things a lot of others can't (there's a video somewhere of him playing the Minute Waltz just on the pedals) and people will go and see that because they get the act as well as the music.

And it would be boring if everyone was the same wouldn't it?

I thought this was going to be an action sequence of footage with a bit of comment but in fact its a load of still of Henderson and one guys totally subjective views on him!. We're all entitled to our views of course but that's all this is....

Not sure if this is in response to or the cause of Samba's dissatisfaction but either way, you have to respect the ruthlessness in this move.

Pound-for-pound, probably the best available option.

If he plays to his potential, Henderson could change the whole dynamic of the back three and, thus, improve the platform for the way we want to play.

Fantastic signing. The boy is quite good when he gets his chances and I have a feeling he will be very good this season. Welcome to the best club in England Dean!😃
