I think it’s unlikely he’ll get a new contract, 21 now and not near the first team. They only way I see it is that we give him a year in order to get a fee but i think he’ll have offers to go on a free from league 1 clubs.Congratulations to the young lad.
His contract ends this summer.
I haven't seen enough of the lad to be able to have a view as to whether he will ever be Premier League capable.
Will Forest offload him, or give him a new contract?
There is no way he is PL standard but could be a CH player. I think maybe in saying that we have forgotten how young Dale still is, born 2003 so will be 22 this calendar year. But you'd expect that a player would have found a level to do well at that age and he seems to be doing fine at Wigan.Congratulations to the young lad.

Tough part is persuading someone... Could have done with Wigan sneaking the playoff but doesn't look likely. He definitely needs to be tested at Championship level next season.
I suppose a newly-promoted club which he may have impressed against is possible.Tough part is persuading someone... Could have done with Wigan sneaking the playoff but doesn't look likely.
That's the hope - think he's 5 goals and 5 assists so he probably needs to add to that by the same again.I suppose a newly-promoted club which he may have impressed against is possible.
Looks a bit like he could turn into the new Danny Ings, or Jarrod Bowen - if he does that would be great for Forest.Looked so good in videos of FA Youth Cup games, hoped he'd be a new sensation, but doesn't sound like he's setting the world on fire in League One.
He's doing OK - goal or assist every game and a half is decent, and pot-month says something. Be good if he could add more goals though second half of the season - that's his game.Looks a bit like he could turn into the new Danny Ings, or Jarrod Bowen - if he does that would be great for Forest.
But as Ubik says, he's not tearing up any trees in League 1... yet.
Good accolade that - well done to he lad!Voted Wigan's Player of the Season and Player's Player too. 11 goals 7 assists.
Championship loan next season hopefully.
Not sure if the club's plans will be to loan him to a higher level next season, but I think he'd do really well at Mansfield.Would love Stags to sign him. Maybe possible if he's settled in Nottinghamshire and likes the area. Stags really need to inject some youth into their squad and sounds like he'd be a fan favourite from what the Wigan fans have said.

I would have thought he'd be aiming for higher than Stags. If he's PotY at Wigan, he sure should be.Would love Stags to sign him. Maybe possible if he's settled in Nottinghamshire and likes the area. Stags are Mega and have a fantastic young man in charge of the team...I would have thought he'd be aiming for higher than Stags. If he's PotY at Wigan, he sure should be.
Yatesy went to Scunthorpe and Notts County didn’t he?The journey to becoming a PL player takes time.........Johnson did his time at Lincoln.......wasn't Morgan Rogers also at Lincoln? Ryan Yates went out on loan too...........I'd hang onto him......all the reports I've read about him suggests that he's a decent player......
Yep! Plus Shrewsbury and Barrow before that.Yatesy went to Scunthorpe and Notts County didn’t he?
