Are the club (or Sabri) panicking? we seem to be frantically buying where we seem to have adequate numbers.

Perhaps I'm being misled by journalistic hype (or fan exuberance) and we're not really buying all these chaps after all.

I suppose someone will tell me when I wake up.

We don't have adequate numbers at RB, we sold our best RB and we need to replace as Gabriel probably isn't quite ready, Jenkinson is wank and Darikwa probably injured

As Eddie said vals, Christie is more of a Sabri fullback whereas Gabriel isn’t QUITE ready and both Darikwa/Jenkinson are wank or always injured.

I like this move, more quality championship players.

Decent signing, I’m impressed.

Anyone think Marinakis is taking the opportunity to spend money while crowds are out because FFP will have to adjust?

Christie, Arter and a winger would be nice.

Then we could concentrate on binning out the bomb squad in the remaining few weeks of the window.

Decent player in a position that was weakened by the loss of Matty Cash. Him, Jenkinson, Gabriel and Darikwa should be decent options and competition for the RB slot.

One of things I’ve been impressed by in this window is that the club seems to be actively targeting signings in the areas we are weak.

When you bring in 9 new players, you target the areas of weakness by default, plus almost every other position on the pitch

We were weak in 9 positions especially the back up players
We've probably also strengthened the bomb squad by relegating those weaker players there.
Unfortunately it's neccessary, if we're trying to upgrade the first team and bench.

Better than all our current right-backs put together.

Simple as that.

Go get him.

I'd be 100% happy with this if we were able to get rid of atleast Darikwa or Jenkinson.

If not, its not something EM isn't used to as Clough is still getting paid.

Let's get rid of Darikwa shall we? Looked good before a serious injury. Wasn't faultless but could teach jenko a thing or two.

Well im not saying GET RID but wouldn’t be apposed to him leaving as he could be a starter in this league but it looks apparent that Sabri doesn’t like him or Jenks much.

Well this is a mystery to me, I suspect we will continue to think this is the player we are planning to sign only for it to be revealed on deadline day to be someone completely different who we had not considered at all.

Well done, winger next please and we shouldn't be far off.

He’s the championship go-to, stop-gap right-back.

Nothing special, but will be okay if a loan.

Lamouchi better get them playing, because god knows what the wage will be like this season...

I've seen a lot of him when he's played for Ireland. He's never let himself down even against good international sides. He's behind Seamus Coleman and Matt Doherty in the pecking order (rightly) but people would see him as a good, capable, reliable option.
Is he as good as Cash? No. Is he better than what we have? Much.

It’s all positions we were weak in last time. A complete lack of quality in depth was a big problem for us last season.

Yup.

The drop in quality was also quite incredible.

Sambs>Muric
Yuri>Bong
Grabs>Mir
Watson+Sow>Semedo+Yates
Cash>Jenks
Ameobi>Da Costa
etc.

It was like we dropped from our first team, to our 3rd team for most positions with the odd exception
