It’s just like watching Brazil!
The Brazilian Pele is even now a better footballer than his namesake we had here a few years back. Although he never did it on a wet Wednesday night in Luton.

According to an article I just read Cooper loves this player. But Inter also want him. Chances just took a serious downgrade.

Wasn't that long ago that we were being pipped to signings by the likes of Norwich and West Brom, now we are disappointed that Inter Milan are now in for a player we are interested in.

What a crazy ride these last couple of years have been!

Inter also have dimarco, who had similar stats and plays for the national team. Unless they're expecting to sell him, Augusto might be riding the pine at inter, instead of starting every week with us.

I guess it will come down to whether he would prefer to play in the Premier League or the Champions League.

I would think for the most part Juventus would be in the lead, if they can promise playing time. They don't have champions league this season due to a points deduction associated with dodgy player valuations so we can probably be competitive on wages.

Some players are desperate to play in the premier league though. So I guess if he is that way inclined we may have a small chance.

Yeah, the Premier League is the proving ground. Sure, he might play in Europe, but this way he gets to play most of those teams anyway. Plus, if he does decide to leave he’s going to earn way more as a potential top 4 player in England, than transitioning from Europe e.g Brighton valuations.

Will be difficult to persuade him to come to come to us if Inter Milan and Juventus are in for him. As strong as the pull as the Premier League is, those two are amongst the clubs who could be considered amongst football royalty and in Inter's case they can offer Champions League football.

Champions league football is the killer. If it’s money, we would win. That said, that probably sends the wrong message if someone took money over CL football....

Yeah, pretty sure we can compete with (or offer more than) most clubs in Europe (besides your super-rich like PSG and Real Madrid) financially.

Inter Milan will have CL football, decent chance of silverware and the prestige of playing for a club of that size. If its between Inter and us, I'd probably make them favourites.

I'm sure we will have other options if Lodi and Augusto go elsewhere. Just part of the territory of competing for good players really.

According to UPS, the I Believe in Miracles DVD I sent arrived yesterday morning.

Looks like we’re in the driving seat again.

Slightly controversial take, but Neco really could play LBW I think. Cooper has plugged him in on that side. Not saying I automatically would, not at all. But he could. That should factor into what we are doing IMO. Ploughing 20mil into another WB is a rich strategy, thus Augusto being looked at IMO.

It all depends what vision we sell to players.

Felipe was talking about challenging for Europe when he arrived, if that's the clubs long term ambition and you can offer them game time, and more money you can compete with anybody.

I agree. Not saying he is the answer but in my humble opinion I think he actually plays better on the left than he does on the right.
He has played on the left numerous times for Wales.

I have always thought so as well. No idea why but he always seems to defend better on the left.

I wonder as his career progresses and more teams do it I wonder if we will see him doing a Zinchenko / Cancelo type role where he drops into midfield. I think that could suit his skillset. You obviously need a big footballing brain for it to work though.

100% agree

He's definitely better on the left as opposed to the right.

He could actually be the answer to our LB issue. With Omar and Harry as back ups maybe it's not an area that we need to be spending 20m plus on?

Great minds.
