Re: Brice Samba - „Magic Hands“

The side can't string 2 passes together, the manager is clueless and our strikers are 31 and 35 years old. Def Samba's fault we lost though.

Its not just his you are completely correct but you'd expect a top championship keeper to save the second.
Has anyone a clip of the goals? Can't find them anywhere at the mo?
He doesn't save many does he? Cost us the game again with the second goal. What's his excuse this week?
Keepers are amongst the easiest to judge..
For me they are either OK or I get a chronic anxiety about them based on how they handle themselves over period of games.
Brice is in the former category. Hes not perfect-hes a good but not super shot stopper but then he's small by modern standards. What he does do is own his. area and his distribution is superb. Overall he's plenty good enough for us, I feel pretty comfortable with him in net and theres certainly far more pressing problems facing the squad at present.
On Sky Sports site now.
I think he should have kept the second out. Bournemouth keeper should have kept McKenna's out too.
It is a shame we don't utilise his distribution more. He beats the press so many times with his switches to the fullbacks. I still think he is our best passer of the ball which is mad.
Cheers mate, just been watching it a few times over.
Shocking keeping. Folk will pick tactics & Hughton apart all night long, but the single biggest reason we walked away without a point is down to Samba today for me.
And that’s the lot of a manager….
Samba is more than good enough for where we want to be
He could've done better with their second goal though
I think we have brought in Horvath on a free transfer, and have retained Jordan smith.
Don't be surprised if Samba is being lined up for sale.
As a former keeper myself I think Samba is inconsistent and inconsistency unsettles defenders and motivates opposition attackers.
He's not as solid as he was when he first arrived, but still more than capable. Not sure what's going on but seems to have lost a bit of confidence.
Smith is nowhere near first team material, and Hovath I have no idea about but will probably end up being this season's Diallo.
Well he won’t, cos he’s already played a game for us.
I thought both keepers were shit yesterday, both made a cock up resulting in goals.
