Doesn't work hard enough off the ball for a starting place in a Nuno team.

Class depth though, but we can't throw tens of millions just at depth.

The fact that it was included as evidence by the club in the PSR case would be a pretty big clue, no?
No as it was only topical to discuss the timing of the sale and in which accounting period the sale was going to be included, nothing to do with the reason why he left.

I could be wrong

Sauce salad?
We were always selling Brennan - sadly the whole pure profit/FFP sham meant he had to go at max value, and that was it. He was always going to be the book balancer.

Interesting to think about Elanga on that context, bearing in mind we already apparently rejected 50m for him. Wonder what our price is now, and whether Newcastle would pony up for it?

You are wrong. It is in the written evidence about the selling process and why they decided in January that he would be 'player A'.

Scored twice in the first half against Southampton today (the first assisted by Djed Spence). Done us a favour by setting up a win, thus keeping Ange in his job by the time we face Spurs in a few weeks time.

Try A Little Tenderness
Not while Daniel Levy draws breath…
16 goals from out wide and 7 assists so far this season in a largely poorly performing side suggests to me that Levy wouldn't be unreasonable in demanding a fee similar to the amount Spurs paid for him.

In the (highly unlikely) event a deal could be done, Brennan would be a great addition in my opinion.

I can't see it happening at all. I don't see us throwing £30M+ for a wide player who could just be back up irrespective of whether he's home grown. I think that's where we'll be looking at the Brazilian markets etc.

People asking why we'd pay 10s of millions for backup players or depth need to realise that it's never been more of a squad game. To manage players over a long season, playing in different competitions we need quality players throughout the squad to interchange, rest players and mix it up against different opposition. We're finding that out now in the latter stages of this season without playing in Europe. Big summer on Trent side.

Pretty much my thoughts exactly, of which I have said a few times. Very good starting 11, but go beyond that and the quality starts to decline. Not hugely I should really add, but just enough.

Would have him back with open arms but I don't think Levy will let him go for a penny less than what they paid for him, and might actually demand more on top.
