• All - you probably don't need to be told, but....
Despite the Admins' best efforts some spammers/scammers/scalpers are getting through the entry system and are, astonishingly, in possession of FA Cup tickets that they, astonishingly, don't want!

It's probably a scam, and either way it's a criminal offence under section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994, (as amended by the Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006) to offer or expose tickets for sale.

Please DO NOT engage with these people - please REPORT any threads/posts offering tickets for sale in case we've not caught them.
    Thanks!

Bring back Brennan for Champions League.
Makes perfect sense and both himself and all forest supports would love to see him unleash that bow n arrow celebration under the floodlights.

No brainer as 2nd/3rd keeper surely. Competent enough to do a job if needed and ticks homegrown boxes.
sure, though we already have Bott who can fill that role, in terms of the HG quota, we can have Yates, Bott and Abbot (though the last 2 are also u-21 so i dont think even take up a spot?) so we can look at it as needing 1 or 3 players to sign, Cash might be possible at a decent price but everyone else would either not be remotely good enough or (in the case of Brennan) too expensive

I personally wouldn’t want him back. Both him and his Dad made their own beds. They can live with their decisions.
Let’s lay this one to rest, once and for all:
Brennan had to be sold to the highest bidder in an attempt by Forest to avoid an FFP penalty.
The sale was ruled as being after the FFP calculation was struck, so Forest incurred a penalty anyway.
Brennan, as a devoted Forest Fan, didn’t resist the move because he thought he was doing his best for the Club.
He did not become a Billy Big Bollocks and force a move.
I would welcome his return, as would most Forest loyalists.

I was in the camp of bringing him back but I think we should just bring Darlow & Smith back as backup keepers in Europe to comply with the club grown registration rules.

I would back the club to spend the money it would cost to sign Brennan better elsewhere. He isn't going to go for less than what they paid, despite their fans moaning he has done decent there.

Sorry skipper I don’t believe that narrative.

My belief , and it’s an opinion only, is that Brennan didn’t feel he was being rewarded financially , and fair enough too, if the rumours are true that he wasn’t on big money. His old man got into his ear and the rest is history. Good luck to him.

I don't doubt his dad was itching for a move to a fashionable club with Brennan on big money.
However, Forest could have offered Brennan a new contract with a big uplift in his wages.
Forest didn't do that because they needed the sell-on profit for PSR, and the cash flow to finance several new acquisitions.
I know it is only my opinion, and you are equally entitled to your opinion, but i do think my opinion has a logical basis.
And it is all water under the bridge now anyway, and I doubt Levy would allow Brennan to be sold for less his written-down value on Spurs balance sheet, plus a bit on top for Spurs profit and loss account.
If I remember the numbers correctly, BJ was given a 6-year contract by Spurs and they settled on £47.5m to buy him (paid on the never-never!).
For FFP, the contract term is limited to 5-years write-off period, but that is only for FFP.
For Financial Accounting, the depreciation period will be the 6 years of the contract, subject to any accelerated write-down if the asset is impaired.
At the end of this season BJ will have 3 years left on his contract.
So his written down value on Spurs balance sheet will be £23.8 million (taking the write-off period allowed under GAAP rules, the 6 years contract is the write-down period)
I reckon Levy won't sell for less than £35 million to at least turn a book profit of £10 million.
Brennan at 24 years old has 22 Premier League goals to his name, and continues to be fast, and well suited to Forest's current playing style.
I think it would be a decent shout if he came back to Forest for around £30 million.

Brennan did not push for a move. The club told him he was going.
