Best Forest Striker in the 21st Century

Close between Earnshaw and Grabban but i'd pick Earnshaw. He played for us during the most enjoyable spell i've had supporting the club and he gets bonus points for the hilarious photo with Nigel Doughty.

He also did that one celebration where he was juggling apples then took a bite, it was the greatest thing to happen for Forest in the last 20 years

Grabban. An all round player who scores goals, is capable of creating his own chances and creates chances for others.

Why we reckon there is hate for him from the support base?

Can only come up with he goes in patches scoring goals, has rarely scored goals of individual brilliance and maybe a lack of connection with supporters due to his demeanor at times?

I've thought about the question asked and if I had to change it slightly. Best striker playing their best game I would have to say Grabban is more complete than Earnshaw & Johnson in a lot of aspects.

I'm probably on the Antonio & Harewood running at a defence & scaring them + scoring at their best and Grabban/Britt box & link scoring train at their best.

In the lower Trent before lockdown there was a fair amount of abuse hurled his way slating him as "lazy".

Not somethin I agree with myself. For all the dross we've signed in recent years, Grabban's has been an exception and a genuine quality signing.

I think that is the main gripe. I think when his morale is down and he is frustrated it can look like that at times. But I've never been big on the lazy thing myself but I still don't think he is a captain.

I will be honest, I would have strongly considered selling him to Qatar but only if we replaced him well which is more likely now under this recruitment so it's worked out well even if now he does leave for free at the end of the season.

Earnie for me without a doubt; always likely to score and had a likeable personality. Grabban a close second in terms of performance.

Will never forget Earnie at Prideless Park scoring in our 1-0 win and then conducting the Forest fans to 'Robert Earnshaw is a red, he hates Derby.' Magic.

Imo and in order of likeliness.

1, his demeanour, he looks like he doesn't care and doesn't do the chest thumping many players do

2, people think he's lazy

3, he contributes very little when he isn't scoring

4 sadly for some and hopefully only a very small minority, his religion.

My favourite striker has to be Johnno, that season was just amazing, he scored for fun and his partnership with MH was amazing. I would then have to put Grabban over Earnshaw as Grabban is a clinical finisher on his day, Earnie was fantastic too his flip and dance after scoring was great, he hated Derby another bonus.
