• All - you probably don't need to be told, but....
Despite the Admins' best efforts some spammers/scammers/scalpers are getting through the entry system and are, astonishingly, in possession of FA Cup tickets that they, astonishingly, don't want!

It's probably a scam, and either way it's a criminal offence under section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994, (as amended by the Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006) to offer or expose tickets for sale.

Please DO NOT engage with these people - please REPORT any threads/posts offering tickets for sale in case we've not caught them.
    Thanks!

To be honest I'd rather we sign Mowatt if we're interested, always liked him. However it's also probably out of ignorance considering I've never seen this lad play.

Cue people being upset that we didn’t sign a player we probably never bid on.

I'd be more annoyed if we didn't bid.

We were never in for him, we don't start looking until the 31st.

I'm always amazed that people know everything going on in the club and even more amazed that we don't buy every player rumoured to be available for transfer.

Of course, it might be that I don't understand the sarcasm dripping from the posts and for that I apologise.

Don‘t worry, Forest will atone by signing some no-mark defensive midfielder that nobody has ever heard of, who once played a couple of games for Olympiakos in a preseason Tournament against FC Kebap.

I’ve had a few games against FC Kebap in my time, I always won but at great cost.

I'd rather sign Mowatt, he's proven quality at this level. I've seen a fair bit of him having a Barnsley supporting family and he's exactly what we need. £1.5M would almost certainly secure him.

Ben Whiteman has already given Preston North End something they were lacking

His touch is sharp, his footballing intelligence is obvious and his wide range of passing has been seen already.

But it has been the other parts of his game that have been equally as captivating.

Without going off on too much of a tangent, Whiteman's personality just seems tailor-made for a North End player.

Grounded, determined, ambitious, aggressive, passionate, confident - and most importantly a leader.

His celebration following Lucas Joao's penalty miss was everything and more that supporters want to see and in every game so far, Whiteman's vocal nature on the pitch has been constant throughout.

The 24-year-old is always barking orders, offering encouragement and giving advice during matches and his awareness of what's going on around him is a huge asset.

"Yours Browney, win it Browney, go and win it skipper." was heard as a throw-in was taken midway through last weekend's game.

1.5m

Less than Jenks
Less than Da Costa
Half what Soudani cost
8 times less than Carvalho
Etc.

If EM harbours any genuine ambition of ever making the Prem, he can't continue to have us missing out on players like this at that price.

Follow our academy teams, they’re great and cheer you up

I miss going to u23 games down at Alfreton as much as I miss heading to the world famous
Absolutely, but it needs to be reflected on the first team otherwise what's the point? Apart from the financial lifeline of course.

No, tend to get to ground too late, straight from work, park up and straight in. Usually have a pint in the club next to the ground after. Lovely little stadium, fair priced chip cob and a coffee too

Sitting behind the dugout, listening to the coaches, Cohen before he left instructing players.

Ah, to have the opportunity to be there again. Friggin pandemic

Chips and gravy a great treat there. The caterers at the City Ground should nip down and see how tasty food can be served up.

Speaking to my mate who's a PNE ST holder and he reckons Whiteman's played a key part in their 5 match unbeaten run to start moving them up the table. Describes him like a bit of a Chris Cohen, but with a good pass and shot on him too.

Think he would have very much fitted Dane's player-bracket, and I'm looking forward to us landing these types of players now as opposed to the Diakabys, Arturs & Bongs etc. which we've been so used to. Committed, talented people who we can actually build a core and future around with plenty of games left in the tank, and plenty of time to grow further.
