Why are they still pissing around with this Diaz nonsense? He isn't Chilean, he plays for them by ancestry, it's not his name as much as it's anyone else on here's name who pops their mom's maiden name after their surname...

Shouldn't worry too much about hs name as if he gets the record for the player with the most appearances in the competition without a single victory his nickname will become Jonah anyway.

Especially if he couldn't beat Wales...

I'm not playing captain hindsight but why people wanted us to sign him I will never know, he is absolute shit
Because he had a decent goal return at Sheffield United in the prem, unlike Hwang, Dennis, Origi, Lingard and Ribeiro.

That said, we're swimming in very different waters this season.

Dennis, Origi & Lingard have all had good goal records in small sample sizes in the Prem.

Nobody in that Sheff United side was anywhere close to Prem standard.

Dennis' was the season before we signed him
Yeah but the point was, signing Brereton-Diaz when we were potentially gunna struggle down the bottom was a reasonable shout, because he actually performed at a team down the bottom.

Signing him now would be like giving the Make-A-Wish kid a game. 😂

Just never bought it. Even for struggling teams.

He is just not a Premier League standard player, a small sample size of games playing in one of the worst teams to play at this level doesn't make you one.

Oli McBurnie had a similar record, if a team near the bottom signed him you would expect the same result as Sheffield United got - relegation.

Football ain't all about G/A, you just have to watch Brereton for 10 minutes to realise he is not a PL player. He wasn't a good shout whatever we expected from this season.

TWO-NIL! 👀
People say Brereton scored a lot of goals in a terrible team but did he really?

Six goals in sixteen games in all competitions last season for Sheffield Utd, less than a goal every other game which remains true even if you just count the fourteen Premier League games

It's not as if he was banging them in every week
