16/17 Summer Transfers - Hit or Miss?

The buzz seems to be over for a lot of these guys.

Pass with distinction : Vellios
Pass : Vlad, Lam
50/50 (on the line. Their move) : Perquis, Hildeberto, Bendtner
Fail : Henderson, Traore, Dumitru, Lica, Carayol

Agree on Vellios

50/50 Vlad, Perquis, Lam, Hildeberto, Carayol.

Fail: Traore, Dmitru, Henderson, Lica.

Vellios has been decent with minimal help from midfield.

Vlad hasnt made a save I wouldnt expect him to make, half of his appeal seems to be his unpredictability. Prefer a steady eddie personally.

Perquislooks solid enough, but essentially he's been an everpresent in a leaky defence.

Lam looks lightweight, lacks pace & speed of movement, can pick a pass though & gets stuck in.

Hildeberto. Good feet poor attitude.

Carayol. Dont get the hysteria, can beat a man but lacks the heart to get up & down. Does well to persevere given the shit he gets from the stands.

Traore. Crock

Dimitru. Had enough chances to prove he aint good enough

Henderson let nerves get the better of him. poor.

Lica. Could be argued he aint been given the chance, but he's clearly showed nowt in training to fail to break in to this team.

Overall a very poor return on our investment.

Start again.

I'd say that Vellios and Stojkovic have been successful.
Lam/Bendtner/Hildeberto are borderline either successful or a waste, depending on whether they turn up.
Perquis, Dumitru, Carayol, Traore have been busts.
Lica and Henderson don't get much game time so can't really comment.

Fair assessment I would say.

I think long term Lam will be the most successful signing of this bunch. I can see a very good footballer in him; technically very good. I was thinking the other day, reminds me a lot of Perch (if that's a compliment). Very skinny, very good at tackling and specifically slide tackling but looks better technically than Perch was.

Think if you take away the red card(s), Berto would definitely be a pass for me.

It says a lot about what our shopping in the summer should be; 3 of the "fail" category are wingers.

Really??? Has a short temper, but can't see a poor attitude in there. Plays like an excited dog. If most of our players played with the same enthusiasm he does we will be higher in the league.

People forget how young this guy is. I guarantee half the stuff being said about him wouldn't be said if he was from the Forest academy opposed to Benfica's.

Opinions mate. I see half the effort going in now since the start of the season. Dont think he's reacted well to the ear bashing he's taken for the disciplinary issues.

Dont care how old he is, we dont need another prima donna who only performs when he's being worshipped.

Someone missed off the list mentioned above is Kasami, who in my opinion deserves just as much stick as Carayol, Dumitru and anyone else.
On Saturday against Wolves that was the single worst performance I've seen from a Forest player in a long time, he was terrible.

He gave the ball away cheaply, his passes were inaccurate and his shooting, the young lads during the halftime game had more power and accuracy.
It baffles me how he continues to start. I would opt for almost anyone in the squad ahead of him, and can only state the injury problems are so severe that he was our only option.

^this!

Kasami is useless and starting him with Grant on Saturday was suicidal!! If he thinks Vaughan can't play a full game then at least start him and then take him off 2nd half! Not the other way round!

Actually, I always wonder why they start the weaker player knowing they are going to sub him for the returning star. Why not put out your best team for the start of the match and sub your weaker player on later? Rather as they normally do, when they pick what the coach thinks is the best team and subs players later.
