What position do you think we will finish in the league this season?

I'm sure we had one of these threads early in preseason.

Then, i thought 14th Ā±3 places.

I'm actually a tad more optimistic with 13th Ā±4 places.
Nothing's changed for me after just shy of a quarter of the season.

13th Ā±4 places

We'll improve to become more reliably mediocre, and the style and tactics are taking root. So, 13th still looks feasible once the gelling has cemented.

But there are still path-ways with a lot of good luck or bad luck that we could push into top half or find our selves in the relegation mire.

But I think overall, the probability and the eye test, says 13th is a safe bet.

Think that's reasonable but 17th more likely than 9th.

Think we'll finish 14th or 15th.

Will depend how we do whilst the African nations cup is on with the amount of players missing, other teams will be in the same boat granted but the club doesnā€™t want to be adrift before they come back making it difficult to catch upā€¦ā€¦.saying all that 15th will do!

The first two weeks of AFCON is the winter break for the EPL (13 Jan to 27 Jan), afaik. So apart from players who go to the semis and beyond, we'll barely miss them.

Don't know how we'll cope without Kouyate to be honest šŸ˜†

Hard to say really. A bit like last season, it'll depend on how we do in the January window and manage our injury situations.

I think if we got Taiwo and Felipe back fit, had a bit of luck with injuries for the season then I don't see a reason why we can't finish in the top ten. Our First XI, with 3-4 subs are some really good players in this league.

I think additionally, we need to sort the full back situation out and find ourselves another attacker. I think you could actually make a case for sending Origi, Tavares and Santos all back to their parent clubs. Origi looked unfit before the injury. We have no news on Tavares and Santos is at best, sixth in line for a midfield spot.

With this current available squad? 16th?
With all our squad available? 10th?

15th to 17th. Mainly because of injuries and the afcon. Get a decent striker in January and that could easily change.
This, I went 16th back in August so I'll stick with that. Seems about right from what I've seen.
