Gonzo sorry Nat Jackson said he's getting announced tomorrow.

You know after she's had him between her thunder thighs.

Think this is a great piece of business. Lots of experience at the top level, a great age at 26, and a surprisingly low fee.

I'm not really sure where he fits in with our existing options at RB, but there's no doubt he improves the squad. Perhaps Williams and Aina will both be taking the two positions at LWB and Aurier and Montiel the two at RWB? If we sign a LWB someone will need to leave.

He's not in the Sevilla squad tonight, and FotMob are reporting him as being injured. The curse strikes again? 👀

Or maybe the physical discomfort is from Nat Jackson getting ahold of him pre-medical...

I see we've put him in economy class on the plane over

Lot of criticism of Omar but the posts saying simply saying ‘he scored a World Cup winning penalty’ as a reason we should all be over the moon he is signing is pretty baseless.

By all accounts he sounds like a good player and upgrade and if the club think it’s a coup then that’s a very good sign.

Forget what he has won in a squad based tournament, it really means quite little. You could name loads of active players who have won competitions that wouldn’t be suitable for the club so think we should park that.

I think it's not that relevant other than the mentality thing. It's not nothing to be able to score a penalty in those circumstances, and that winning mindset can only be a positive thing to have in the dressing room.

There's a difference from being in a squad at Man United City etc when they have to buy players and have a number of home grown players, compared to being actively chosen to represent your country from a limited amount of players, being the back up player and winning said competition.

How many of the England squad that went to the World Cup wouldn't be an improvement for us?

I've added the whole squad so you can decide..

Aurier has been given permission to negotiate with the Sauds according to the media.

I couldn't pick a single player in there that individually wouldn't walk straight into our starting 11.

Only argument would be Connor Coady but even he would get in ahead of McKenna.

How is it different? Those clubs have actively chosen them to be in the squads. Arguably it makes a bigger pool to pick from and therefore more impressive they are part of it.

As I have said clearly it isn’t that I’m questioning the signing as pleased to hear the reports on him so no idea why you are sharing the England squad?

I am saying people shouldn’t be critical of other posts purely based on him being a World Cup winner or scoring a penalty to win it. That in itself doesn’t

I'd counter that by saying he's good enough to be included in best 22 Argentine players & feature significantly in a squad that won the WC

Because squads include under 21s and players who "won" the league only have to have had a bare minimum involvement.

Not every player in a squad will be world class either as (unless you're Chelsea) you can't spend unlimited funds to get 26 world class players.

Argentina have a population of 45.1m and only 26 of those were chosen to play and win against the rest of the world. It's highly likely that Montiel is much better than Wales RB/LB

Again which players of the England squad wouldn't be good enough to improve us? We lost in the 1/4 final to the runners up, of that squad I posted Coady (who didn't play a single minute), who is our last choice CB wouldn't improve us.
