I might form a group. The Foam Hand group. We'll have our say, make no mistake.
You'll be able to get a Chicken Bhuna on the concourse, zero segregation, affordable beer, no banning order policy, remove the piss-net below upper bridgford for the visit of Leeds and the Shaggers...

Really not a fan of this Supporters Trust.

Seems to be a group of self important nosey bastards.

Going to a meeting and asking about the clubs finances... they're not exactly going to tell you that we're f**ked and going to have to sell all our players are they!?

It's always the same, someone doesn't agree with something, thinks they know better. I could kind of understand it during Fawaz but it's always some self important, know it all who thinks they speak for everyone.

"our already significant online presence"? Oh, c'mon.

There's a self-aggrandizing tone in whatever they write which annoys me.

I think it's an important topic to ask questions about because ultimately it's the lifeblood of the club. How the club wish to answer is up to them but if they truly want to 'bring the fans in' on some sort of shared journey then they should expect questions on such an important topic even if they're not mandated to answer like a public company is.

So the new owners inherit a financial shambles, then some pretentious group start knocking the door poking their nose in as if to suggest theres a standard at the club that needs upholding. There isn't, its been shit for as long as I can remember.

All a bit cringeworthy, but fair play to the chairman for giving them the time of day.

Would the Chicken Bhuna still need to be served cold, or are you getting rid of the kiddie catering crew?

It's not too dis-similar to Marthur's TAP. Employ a wreckless wanker to wreck the club finances, then punish every half decent manager with purchasing restrictions after because of him.

The NFST needs to remember it was born out of a need to keep a wreckless owner in Fawaz in check, and that the new regieme needs time to settle & shape things before being judged.

Nothing against the NFST existing & staying in communication with the club. Think we could actually do with hearing a little bit more out the club about various things. But we certainly don't need anyone causing any waves at the mo.

It's not the judgement that is important it's asking the question and getting some sort of answer even if it's brushed off a bit.

People need to remember whilst we don't own the club, the fans en masse help the owners by ploughing in financial support every year mostly through blind loyalty. We as fans pay around 80% of the cost liabilities each year. It's important therefore that the fans are given some sort of insight into the operations at the club. It's not mandatory but it's what reasonable owners should do.

Its not important to everyone & that's my issue with this organisation as a whole. They dont seem to care for those of us who aren't keen on a self entitled few prodding the owners.

No one is prodding, some are just keen to understand. If you don't want to, don't care about, or can't understand the finances then by all means feel free to ignore but others should be able to get a feel for it.

What difference is that to other operational things? If you say it's a private business so stop being nosey then you apply the same sentiment to things like post match conferences and decisions about ticket allocation: you're not an owner so stop prying.

I'm in favour of fans being welcomed by the club, but if you think you're going to get anything but an opaque answer to your questions, you're living in cloud cuckoo land.

We'll get opaque answers one way or another when the years financials are released in about twelve months time.

I still have trouble understanding the role of the NFST. The news section on their website has an interview with their chairman from August 4, and then the more recent piece of news (December 27) is that they are launching "a major, independently run research project" which is basically another survey gathering opinions about the redevelopment of the City Ground, something that the Club has already done. This survey "represents a significant financial outlay for the Trust", but "the club is eager to support us in this initiative", which I suppose means that the club will pay for it, or at least cover part of the cost.

There's some room for scepticism here, to put it mildly.

Since the Trust would appear to be..er..in the ear of the club, but since the club is saying sod all, is there someone from the trust who might care to enlighten the unenlightened about what's being thrashed out with the club in respect of season tickets please?
Thanks!

Their latest update, on if the club were planning to revisit the options offered:

"We're checking but our assumption is (& always was) that the contingency is already built into the current options. As the FAQs cover, the club will look at compensation for Opt 1 takers if a large portion/all of the season is BCD. We'll share updates, if any, as soon as we can.

We're discussing with the club as a matter of priority, as soon as we know more we'll share updates. Prob worth hanging fire until end of the day anyway, to give them time to assess."

Feels like the first time I've said this, but, I'm not sure what you're expecting from the club or what they've done wrong here?

Option One was clear in that you'd enter a ballot if and when some capacity was restored with an iFollow code provided for games where no fans were allowed in.

It was always likely Coronavirus cases would creep back up at some point and harsher restrictions may be needed. Surely folk thought about this before choosing their option? I specifcally picked option two because despite wanting to be part of the ballot, I suspected the number of games we'd actually have a ballot for would be quite low and I didn't have interest in the iFollow passes. Also, it's the Government changing their mind on this, not Forest.

In short, if you wanted a refund, you should have selected that.

I have to agree with this.

Coronavirus was unexpected when it hit as was the massive effect it had on all large gatherings, specifically sporting events, and although the way it’s peaking again was anticipated, the timing and extent couldn’t be predicted.

My initial decision to vote Option 1 was from my heart. I wanted to be back at the CG and all the usual related routines of match day and understood the relative risks. Being able to watch on IFollow was the next best thing.

My actual decision was the logical and obvious one based upon the recent increased restrictions and the realisation that its unlikely for crowds to return for some time. Also, the issues I’ve had with iFollow really pissed me off too.

The club gave us 3 options representing various value depending on our personal situation and circumstances, given the best information they had at the time. I believe they could have done things better but I’m not sure how the options could have been much different.

Still could have been a defer any refund to go towards next season’s ticket option
