Just so we're clear, it sounds to me like a very flowery pledge to keep supporters in the loop. Theres nowt legally binding & nowt that impedes on the owners rights to do exactly as they see fit for the good of the club.

Im happy with what the owners are doing, I also never see a point where groups like these will get any kind of a say. Am I missing something?

No, you're not. The fact that there will be regular meetings is important, obviously, but there's no real input expected from the NFST yet.

On the other hand, to be anything more than a consultative body, the NFST would need to be a shareholder. Before that step, they cannot expect much.

Yeah, the fact that they set it up to try and halt Fawaz's continued randomness, and now there's no real need for it.

It seems harmless enough. Might come in handy one day if EM loses his marbles or something. Until then it's just fluff really.

Although if it were worth anything, I'd have expected it to have obtained some form of answer from Randall about reasonings behind the letter u-turn.

Is Randall giving the Supporters' Trust the precious commodity of time, I wonder?

I think you need to step away from your trumpet now otherwise you're going to start moaning about needing more defenders ...

It's not my place to comment on that perhaps, but I have to point out that giving an interview about the Trust and sending the link to the full interview only to members of the Trust (as if it's privileged material of interest only to 'insiders') is a bit weird, if not cocky.

Shouldn't the Trust be reaching out to all fans?

It is cocky.

They came on here thinking that they were talking on everyone's behalf and were (im) politely told that they didn't.

While their PR has definitively improved it still seems to be grandstanding by a few self entitled wannabes.

Another group who just want to be insiders, pointless.

Surely if they want new members, that sort of interview should be sent out to the wider Forest fan base to let us see exactly who we'd have representing us.

Yup, Keith above is right.

This “Trust” is the second iteration of a fans-led campaign, the first imploded after it was hoisted on the petard of its own arrogance.

What could - and should - be an all-inclusive movement for everyone seems instead to be being run as an ego-trip for a select few, which is an absolutely crying shame.

The Forza Garibaldi campaign does a better job.

Forza Garibaldi is much better because it's about fans.

NFFC Trust is just snooping and wanting a piece of the cake. It was set up in a terrible situation so gained traction and popularity that it wouldn't have normally.

Anyone been on the nfst web site

I have. And I was curious enough to check the minutes of the NFST Board minutes published there; not the content itself, but the timeline: March 2017, April 2017, May 2017; small gap, then July 2017; then November 2017; then nothing.

Says it all really.

To be fair, when they were formed there was a definite need for them. I get the feeling the way the club is now being run in a more professional manner with regard for the fans that it’s become a bit redundant.

A community of fans is never redundant.

Didn't they do £10 yearly memberships?

I can't imagine many people have renewed their membership now we're no longer owned by Fawaz

i clicked around to join and it was £12

i didn't join but i think having a supporters trust can only be a good thing, put it like this i would prefer it to prosper than die

be good if all groups of supporters could affiliate in some way but £12 is surely too much

having said that, galvanising Forest fans to unite on any topic seems nigh on impossible
