This challenge against Haaland is quite similar to the one Hudson-Odoi wasn't given against Everton.
Agreed, although I'd argue the scything down of CHO was far more egregious and obvious. Both should have been penalties, but of course only the one for the emirate club was given.

It be the Gvardiol one where he just ran into the Wolves player, now that definitely was a coming together of 2 players, and just wasn't a peno and which nearly all pundits as well as fans agree on.

It's the "unintentional" bias to big 6 clubs at work again, we all know - that wouldn't of been given if was to Forest, & probly not other non top 6 team!

Then explain how teh foul on Gvardiol isn't a PK. Please. Or is it the Haaland incident?
See reply below from forestwon who explains it better than I could

Gvardiol has his shot, Ait Nouri doesn't kick him and their bodies collide. I seem to remember Ryan Yates being taken out like that v Bournemouth and we didn't get a penalty for it.

The Haaland one is the same as CHO v Everton. He's through and ahead and the defender has impeded him from kicking the ball properly. Correct decision there.

The foul by Christie on Saka is a red card. Studs first and high. How on earth hasn't VAR picked that up.

Bournemouth disallowed goal. Harsh but daft by Solanke, he actually grabs the keeper's arm and nudges him as he's jumping. Sly and not much contact but enough to be given.

No chance. Is this is where the opinions of fans becomes factually incorrect. This coming together nonsense is often wildly off base when commentators bring it up. Sometimes it is correct. Often, it is not. The entire basis of a foul is who gets to the ball first. Not entirely (as follow throughs can now be judged as a fouling aspect, unlike the "good old days") but for the most part this is the fundamental nature of who is fouling who. Gvardiol gets to teh ball first. Wolves guy does not. It's a PK, plain and simple. Correct decision.

Honestly, I'd rather Luton be playing almost anyone else but West Ham.

That club seems toxic at the moment - and you can see the crowd turning in a really bad way if Luton start well.

West Am seem to just about be holding it together at home, hopefully they'll want to end at home on a high (before being battered at Man City on the final day).
