Tom Cartledge (Chairman)

We’ve had some dreadful chairmen in our history, but how a lifelong fan can take the job and get it so, SO wrong is incomprehensible. Move along Tom, you’re finished from a fan perspective.

Is it more BS regarding the ground?

Oh brilliant. I hope whoever is involved puts personal interests/gains aside and does what is best for the club. We talk about the play off final being a sliding doors moment, this could literally make or break the club.

Dan Taylor is really selling the Toton location here:

"Through the estate, past the Toton Fish Bar, a hairdresser’s called Flicks and some typical Nottingham suburbia, you will eventually come to a mini-roundabout on Epsom Road... There is a Tesco supermarket on the other side of Stapleford Lane, a tram stop and a garden centre, Bardills"

Football heritage.

Joking apart Notcher, I'm coming up to 53 years old and I reckon that if we could have a decent riot that doesn't revolve around robbing shops (other than those owned by Mike Ashley obviously), I'd quite fancy a run out.
The fukcers have stopped even pretending to listen.
I wasn't even joking Wes. I'm 100% in agreement with you. I genuinely worry about the state of things for my children's future. As you say the issue is that the plentiful of idiots would see it as a green light to start rioting, looting, robbing and setting fire to everything. I can actually see a civil war happening within the next decade.

No extended lease, no new land for training ground, no new container boxes, no progress on PT stand. Boy am I glad we got this tit in as chairman with his architect’s background.

We don’t want a bowl in Toton you twat.

I’ll say it louder in case you missed it.

WE DON’T WANT A BOWL IN TOTON YOU TWAT.

No amount of trying to play fans off vs council or laying the groundwork for the eventual excuses will change that. We can all see what you are doing, because you are literally following the f***ing playbook on this. Plenty of people on here have called it in advance.

It’s alright crying about nobody from the council reaching out to you, but no mention of you reaching out to them…. Get your arse in gear and deliver what you were hired to do or f*** off.

Can talk to journos but nothing to the mug “customers” the fans over season tickets. Clown.

Get this ugly swine out of our club.
The dickhead is trying to claim that it is not worth spending "£250 million" on the current stadium. Don't play that nonsense with us, we are not stupid, it would be 250 million over 250 years!! It is the equivalent of paying a player £20k a f***ing week, it is nothing to a prem club!!
This knob is telling me that is not worth it to stay at our home? I hope we hurl abuse at him on Saturday, twat.

Are people upset because they think this means we're moving? If we're trying to negotiate the council's proposal then the strongest way to do that is to have credible alternatives.

Democratic pressures will be non-existent if London technocrats are currently in charge of the council.

What a bloody stupid time to release this article though.

Does anyone know what other premier League clubs pay? West Ham aside.

Where's me hammer?
Stuart Attwell > Tom Cartledge...

At least Attwell admits he don't support Forest.

I’ve dealt with council planners many times and if this is an attempt to play hard ball with them… toms doing it wrong.
you don’t threaten to go somewhere else because they essentially couldn’t give a flying fook where you go. You get them invested in it and have them driving it forward…
you don’t release the “playing it hardball” interview 2 days before a really season defining match where you need the supporters on your side!

the leadership is really starting to make me question their motives.

fukkin idiots.

Found some street art in Köln which accurately describes the current Forest ownership and board

Found some information on some stadiums, which shows £1million is hardly the council robbing the club.

Man City £3million, it use to be closer to £4.5m
Newcastle £630,000
Bournemouth £300,000
Birmingham City £1.25million
Exactly. It’s £20k a week. Or £15k a week more than we’re already paying anyway. That’s about the cost of one player on Championship wages never mind premier league ones. Just cough up, or at least make a deal you wankers.

Do we know what the Forest counter offer, or stated maximum was? I assume there was a number agreed at some point hence Randal's initial announcement.

Probably no decision until we start to look like we can survive in the Premier league comfortably.

So might as well stop bothering with any ground related news until this time next year.

Also, why is DT running this story before our biggest game of the season? It is an exclusive to him, why not f***ing wait?
If you go back, every big game is preceded by some "Forest are shite/cheats/broke/crap" press story.
It is not me making it up... I have monitored it after my gut feeling was it was happening.
Mind you, we do seem to make it easy for the media to have a pop at us with alarmng regularity!

The city of Nottingham is bankrupt and slashing services to the most vulnerable in society.
Premier League gives us >£130 million per season, with players each paid several million pounds per annum, and an owner who is a multi-billionaire should not be making a battle over £1m per year rent payment to the beleagured City Council.

Alabamared recommended 2 books to me on the Forum.
I have just finished Can We Have our Football Back? and Can We Have our football Back YET?
I am glad I have a reasonable blood pressure, as these books are not for those at high risk of apoplexy (stroke).
There is no way the owners, directors, players will give up a penny piece such is their collective and individual greed.
After all, at Arsenal, the Club fired 55 back room staff, most doubtless on minimum wage, when COVID hit.
The players/owners could easily have paid these lowly bods wages... but didn't.
