When you join as a member, you get a scarf (Germans like scarves) a personalised „mini-kit“ with your name on it and „12“ (twelfth man/woman, see) plus a bunch of other stuff and some stickers. You get a permanent discount absolutely everything merchandise-wise the club sells either online or in one of the shops, and priority windows for tickets (that said, tickets generally don’t make any sort of general sale).A scarf maybe?
Of course the important matter is being able to vote in (and occasionally, out) members of the board of management, and to influence club policy. The annual members meeting, held in September, is also usually well attended.
Oh and you get invites to special club events and stadium tours as well, plus you can win one-off prizes like personal use of one of the Dunkelroter Loges (which are private, cabin-sized executive boxes). Oh and some of the team events, you get all sorts of people turning up, including current and former players, who are happy to mingle with the fans and chat.
