The tackle from behind was outlawed
Exactly a point I made in this thread a couple of days ago. It shouldn’t matter if Young touches the ball - it’s an illegal tackle!!

The downside is that we now face charges against the club, the manager and a player. Do we really need this at this crucial time?

I‘m as angry as any Forest supporter - very poor decisions too often.

The reaction of the mainstream media is now anti-Forest.

By all means make a big protest after the game but do it properly.
The Club statement yesterday recognises the error to claim bias - we have backpedalled.

I’ve followed our Club everywhere during our twenty three years outside the PL. I loathe many aspects of PL including refereeing, VAR etc. However, we need to be in the PL to grow our Club.

On the field this season we have underperformed - owners, management and players should also be accountable.
I agree with your final point LR but both things can be true. I'm at the point where I really don't care anymore, the PL is no longer the be all and end all for me. I hope we kick this house of cards all over the place on our way down.

Who cares about the charges? I certainly don't and I don't think the club does. It needed saying, sometimes you have to sacrifice yourself or something to get change. Football is being ruined for fans, the people that actually matter l by incompetence/potential corruption. That's the most important factor for me.

Slight change of focus...

The new scourge of premier league football; the tactical head injury.

There were at least two different bollocks head injury claims from Everton where it was in their benefit to stop play and to his credit Taylor played on. Both players were absolutely fine of course.

Despite it upsetting the crowd and Forest not really being sure if they should play on, Taylor playing on was the right thing to do, but this whole situation looks like a tragedy waiting to happen.

When there was an actual head injury, it was pretty clear on the pitch it was a real one and play stopped immediately. Both players staying down probably helped the ref's decision too.

But by players repeatedly faking head injuries, and therefore forcing refs to triage potentially serious injuries at a distance during open play, that genuine head injury could have been waved away as another fake, with potentially serious consequences.

It's clear players are being coached to exploit the rules around head injuries, resulting in more danger to players rather than less, is this on the radar of the authorities, or is it another one to ignore because they can't admit a new rule hasn't worked.

I'm not a doctor but I've been hit in the head plenty of times and if I've had to lie still on the ground for 10 seconds then it has been a concussion. No one should be getting up and carrying on playing.

Anthony Taylor hugely at fault for the third and most obvious penalty - there's no (good - they'll be the odd fuckwit suggesting they just 'know it wasn't' or something) argument against that not being a penalty.

The other two he needed VAR for, the third he shouldn't have done, but then they 'let him down'/backed him/cheated as well. That third call beggars belief - it's as clear and obvious a penalty as you'll ever see. *****.
I was thinking that we have previous with him. Well that and he's a bit shite.

4 years ago the mainstream media was telling everyone that Covid came from a pangolin and not from a laboratory.

They do what they are paid to do. They have no interest in rocking the boat as far as the EPL is concerned, see the reactions of the paid stooges: Neville, Carragher etc.
I recognise your point.

For Carragher to lecture anybody about ethics when he should have sacked after his spitting incident is disgraceful.

Many in the football media are not dissimilar to agents, they make a living off the back of football. Many of them don’t get the life of a supporter - the real costs and time taken to follow their team. They don’t get the emotional impact. Their press passes and contacts are a million miles away from a real supporter.

However, they are in a very influential position. Many of them do not understand the Forest situation with refereeing and VAR. They have their own bias with no accountability.

Despite our tweet on Sunday nothing will change. If anything, it will harden opinion. PGMOL and PL will further close ranks.

Which in itself highlights the bias/ corruption should this happen. It's almost doing the job for us. Maybe nothing will change but at least we can say we stood up and tried.
Look I’m angry about the refereeing and VAR. I spent thirteen hours going to and from the game on Sunday to witness that refereeing/VAR performance - plenty of time to reflect on events and get wound up.

Yes Forest must stand up and be counted but it’s how we do it.

Instead of tackling it like Wolves did, it’s clear that management and players are too focussed on refereeing decisions to the detriment of winning games.

Hence our predicament.

Then will be exposed for what they are and we will have succeeded, let them do it, let them expose themselves.

This isn’t about the result, we may well go down and look back at several incidents which have cost us games.

At least if we went down and those incidents were given you say fair enough we weren’t good enough, but there is a long line of them have not been given which means we are not even close to being treated fairly, should we just get on with it without so much a whimper?

Maybe we could of released a statement at the end of season instead saying how unfairly we have been treated!!!

We have Simon Hooper on Sunday, with Peter Bankes on the VAR.

They are keeping Tierney, Attwell, Jones and Taylor out of our sphere.

Yes, you read that right, Argentinian „guest“ officials.

Felix Zwayer is n excellent official too. Daniel Siebert a bit of a surprise, he had a bit of a shocker in Qatar.

They try not to put refs on the same teams within a 1 month period and they never officiate the same team 2 games on the spin

At the very least with this hoo ha that we have made at least we can't possibly ever have Attwell officiating or being on VAR for us. Thats a win for sure.

Except when him and Taylor turn up for a match with Groucho nose and glasses on, claiming never to have heard of themselves.

I admire your optimism.

We had Stroud back in charge of us not long after the West Brom debacle a few years ago - and that probably remains the worst single day of refereeing I have ever seen (including this weekend just gone).

Me and Big Dave have sorted the solution.
VAR isn't going to decommissioned - the TV companies who dictate won't allow it.
So, everytime VAR check an incident, the game should be halted and the live audio of the VAR officials should be played over the P.A., whilst the actual video being watched is played IN REAL TIME on the big screens.
That way the spectators can see what is going on, and the on-field officials can too.
Finally, by making this visible in real time, the VAR/PGMOL/EPL/TV comanies should not have time to doctor the video evidence.
It's the only way.
