I still think its shameful to call the reffing corrupt with no shred of evidence. The original statmenet to me is still abysmal. We can make a statement about incopetncy fair enough but to imply corruption without any evidence I still think is horrendous. Maranakis made a huge error with FFP, maybe the premier league should come and tweet how Maranakis is a cheat than?

This board we have have been a major dissapointment for me even with promotion sealed and no other board in 20 odd years had done that. That takes some doing to still be a dissapointment with that great achievement.

Also makes me piss myself that we imply the premier league are corrupt than Neville calls EM a mafia boss and some Forest related people are up in arms about that. Feck me its all a shitshow from EM to Neville. Its like being a parent and seeing yoru 2 kids fighting and they just need to grow up.

Amongst the things Forest didn't say in that post match tweet was ANYTHING about incompetence or corruption.

What forest DID say was that they had suggested to the PGMOL that a different VAR operator would remove them (the PGMOL) from a position of having difficult and awkward questions to answer if a refereeing shit show happened.

A refereeing shit show happened and the PGMOL now have difficult and awkward questions to answer.

The issue is of PGMOL's making, not Forest's.

The bit I find amusing and odd is that refs are supposed to tell PGMOL of their allegiances at the start of the season and yet we are told that it doesn't matter who refs each game because their refs are highly professional.

Then we are told they go to great lengths to make sure said officials are not placed into matches which contain their allegiances.

Double standards, which suggests their posturing over our allegations (which we did not allege, incidentally, just said it would save any emmbarrassment if something untoward happened) is simply saving face.

But…in the same breath they don’t allow a referee to take charge of a match that involves the team they have allegiance to, or their local rivals.
However, it could be argued that a ‘temporary rivalry’ (teams directly involved in a promotion/relegation or title battle) is much higher stakes than a local rivalry, but this is something they wilfully ignore.
