Season Cards 2024/2025

Never felt further detached from the club.

Just one question though, where were those 21,000 existing and potential SC holders when I was sat with 13,000 in the deepest shit in the championship?

I remember being at Leeds away when we won 7-3 as we battled relegation from the Championship - less than 800 of us that night I do wonder where all the people who suddenly want to attend away games now we are in the Premier League were that night??? Remind me how many away members do we have now??? That is what success does it attracts people.

I suspect if we go down as long as we are in the mix for top 6 crowds will hold as they have done at Leeds this season. My friend is a season ticket holder at Leeds they increased their prices when they went down across the board by 10% on season ticket renewals and also mentioned in the social media release that they had 22k on the waiting list to scare people into renewing. I imagine that is where Forest got the idea from as I understand they have taken a guy from Leeds to help with ticket operations,

I think the sad reality is the club do not care who sits in a seat as long as someone sits in a seat. However should we remain in this league
the pricing is in line with many other clubs. Its just the way the club have gone about it that has been very poor. But most of us on here while we
may disagree about the manager or players would I think agree mostly the club has been badly run for many years. Unnecessary FFP charge, lack of a sponsor last year etc.

Would it have been that hard to release prices which would be reduced should we go down??? Would have maybe made people at least think the club are being fair.

I think modern football detaches fans from most clubs - the game went for me a long time ago.

It's only in the PL where the demand for tickets and the treatment by clubs of their fans is a problem.

In the Championship clubs know they rely on fans for a big wedge of their revenue if they're not in receipt of parachute payments, so they have to be nice to the fans even if they charge them more.

Lower down the pyramid there's a few clubs who actually work with fans to make attendance affordable. Bradford City did a £100 a season ticket thing for a few years and were drawing in crowds of 20k in League 2 because of it. They've moved away from that recently with a full ST costing £350 but they give a £100 discount if renewing early and junior STs for them are like £20, so they make family attendance much more affordable.

A friend of mine has a season ticket at Spurs. A decent seat near the halfway line but he really wants to move. His is the last seat before the corporate section starts and every home game he sits with a large group of guests, many of whom don't have a much of a clue what's going on.
This block is sold to Korean guests who pay £400 for a seat, a bit of food and a drink at half-time
He tells me they are lovely people but after years of it he desperately wants to talk football to the people around him.

I really hope we don't end up like this.
Don’t worry FP, there’s zero chance that can happen at Forest.

I never suggested you had reported me. If you appear to want to be offended on behalf of others then I guess its an option?

Suggesting what something can be construed as is simply putting things in peoples minds and Im sure people are capable of arriving at their own conclusions, they are grown men after all, despite my thoughts.

I'd rather you just say "youre talking shit" and I'd probably agree in most cases. All this jibber jabber about someone might not like this, or might view it this way is a waste of time and gets nobody anywhere, much like laying in a road or not singing a song.

Call me cnut, its far easier, and I wont be offended 😃

Good point - it would be good if these issues were looked at as a root cause of several problems with the game. Although not entirely related, the scrapping of Cup replays is just another attack on the football pyramid.
Totally agree, football should be about localness. That dosen’t mean you exclude global fans but it should be catered to help local fans see their sides and make the division more competitive so your local side can actually thrive despite how many are in the fanbase. United got relegated in the 70s that should be a possibility still. Why can’t a St Albans get to the championship if they make very good footballing decisions for a decade? It’s getting much more hard to do that sort of thing. It’s just becoming so stale now. I kinda wished the super league happened with promotion from the premier league into it so we can get back to a more level playing field.it’s like clubs want to be big fishes in small ponds. Than you get all these downstream affects like ticket prices, player wages, agent fees, transfer fees etc…….

It does make me laugh when I hear the word greedy cause in reality football owners out of everyone are actually some of the most charitable people around. Yes they are doing it for their own satisfaction and prestige but they lose money hand over fist, Only the glazers are getting any decent dividend I believe but United are still the second highest spenders in world football. It’s all just depressing because we are all falling out amongst each other and with the owner when in reality we all want the same thing but crap football system we’re in makes it so so difficult. Anyway will always love Forest no matter what.

Out of curiosity I decided to look at how much I've spent as a Plus member. Although I've been to every home game (cups and league) so far I'm just counting league.

I sit in Upper Bridgford (U1) and have spent £734 thus far (£669 on tickets and £65 membership fee). I plan on going to both City and Chelsea so that will be a further £84 taking my total to £818 for the season. A season ticket in this area is £550. So I have paid £268 more.

It's a stark difference but it's the price you pay for being more to the back of the queue. What worries me is with season tickets going up next season I expect seating in Upper Bridgford to be even more scarce as season ticket holders may move to the cheaper area or perhaps for the new safe standing and then membership prices will go up and matchday tickets will go up alongside it. Leading that £268 difference to increase rather than narrow.

Not sure I'd be able to justify going to every game again if that's the case.
I take my hat off to you sir. As a season ticket holder for 40 odd years I think I’m as committed as anyone, I can afford the price hike but I’m not sure I could do what you do. There is a cut off point to where you just refuse to be shafted any further and I’m not sure where mine lies tbh.
I suppose it depends how good the “product “ is . This season has been very trying for a number of reasons and there’s very few games I’ve enjoyed. Added to the shambles off the pitch with finances, VAR and a stagnant ground upgrade.
We’re all being severely tested.

I reckon for a massive chunk of people the answer to the question “where were you when we were shit?” is probably “in the city ground, same as you a lot of the time”. It’s just that they didn’t all go to every game all at the same time, as is the case at the moment.

It's not that season tickets are cheap, it's that the club are bleeding members dry. Having to pay to be in a queue now to get membership is the cherry on top. Next season we'll be forced to pay for lottery tickets to go towards making the water work in the Trent End.

Club have just announced Chelsea ticket prices starting from £42. Guaranteed that all membership levels will increase by a fair bit, so any plus member is likely to be paying £1,000 if they went to 17 to 19 home games next season. I can get on board with the disgruntled season card holders, but look at the other fans who are being bled dry.

I think for a lot of people this is true

I know of at least two fellow fans who were season ticket holders but cancelled during our time in League One, deciding instead to pick and choose their games

You're never going to get a full house in to watch Danny Cullip and Gary Holt take on teams like Walsall and Hartlepool so for many it just made no sense paying for a season ticket

I reckon I've paid over £1000 to go to all home games this season (incl. membership cost).

And then there's the cup games.

And multiply that by 2 for my son who is now benefitting from adult prices.

Yeah to be fair I kind of see paying more a bit of "it's my own fault" as I could have got a season ticket in the past and chose not too. Either due to my job back then being shitter pay or having no one to go with each week. I have people to go with now which makes it more enjoyable and why I go so often.

It also does numb the pain paying over the year rather than in one go. Just looks easier on the bank balance coming out monthly rather than in one lump sum.

100% this - University, working in London, back in Nottingham, back working in London, now back in Nottingham - that’s been my story. Would always try and manage 10 to 15 games a season if possible, but it never made sense to get a season ticket, apart from pre University years when unfortunately Megson was stinking out the place. Certainly wouldn’t regard myself as a tourist, as some on Twitter are trying to make out with member fans.

We're all Forest fans.

I don't see any difference between STH's and members personally apart from the fact one group has guaranteed access to every game.

If a protest is wanted then rather than boycott a song, why not just boycott the whole (City) game?

It's on TV and we'll probably get smashed anyway, and as far as a statement goes then an empty ground in front of the money (TV cameras / sponsors (foreign & domestic) / corporate / etc) would go down like a lead balloon and make the powers that be sit up and take note.

Obviously that's never gonna happen, but if we're serious about protest then where's our ambition?

This is shocking but not surprising, Tom Cartledge needs to take ownership of this. People just want transparency, at least it would make the bitter pill a little easier to swallow
Do you really think so.
While me and the Mrs are able to meet the extra cost to us (£265) and I still feel "once a Red, always a Red", I can't help but feel guilty that I will be taking my seat next season, while the Mum and Daughter (who falls into the over 17 catchall) who me and the Mrs always have a good chat with may not be there. And just along from us is a young man who suffers with some debilitating neurological disorder, who also will be hit by being "too old" (unless of course he already enjoys a disability concession).
The price increase without the age concession restrictions would probably be acceptable - unpleasant, but acceptable.
I think it is the swingeing impact on the young that really makes this unpalatable.
And as Greg mitchell says on the Forest Focus podcast following Forza's decisive positioning statement, fans needn't think it will just be 24% average increase this season.
Until that waiting list disappears, it will be another big hike next season and the season after.

I hated the 'member' thing when I first heard about it - should have seen this coming really off the back of that.

It's all a load of old shit, and it's never good when it creates divisions within the fanbase - Forest fans are just that, whether member, season ticket holder or currently unable to attend (as I have been at different times throughout my 40 plus years of following the reds) we should stick together.

If the club want to do daft things that's their perogative, but it shouldn't lead to fans having to prove their right to be in (or indeed out) of the ground.

With regard to the Finance options queries above. It's through v12 and I've taken it up for the 1st time.in many seasons (was Zebra last time I did it!)

It's a 0% interest option but the arrangement fee is just over 43 quid, and is calculated in hence the 20 odd % APR info. Payments can be over 4 8 or 10 months.

See screencap (cropped from my agreement). Mine is 570 but I had some ticket exchange credit hence the slightly lower amount.

What HAS pissed me off this morning is that I've now had an email from V12 inviting me to see if I am eligible for a loan. Now, while I neither want or need one, I can see that some may well be tempted and get themselves further into debt. I think it's appalling that customer info is being used in this way after being forced Into using finance for a ST due to short deadlines and sharp rises. I wonder if the club are aware that details of potentially vulnerable people finance wise are being used like this?
