We havent half missed him recently - and that's the issue with him really: we knew he wouldn't be fit all the time but he's that good that he leaves a huge hole.

He's a very underrated defender, we are so much better when he does play, shame he's had a few spells out because he'd really be the perfect partner for Murillo as he has the experience and size whereas Murillo is about a foot shorter.

Also he's been managed by Nuno at Porto, then Wolves and of course now, his last 3 clubs (Boly's not Nuno's).

Shout out to this man. My MOTM today, an absolute collosus, he was everywhere getting challenges in, martialing the back line really well and played the ball out quickly and composed.

Him chasing Grealish most of the way around the pitch was one of the highlights of today

IF and that is a big IF he can play the next 3 games then I would feel a lot more confident is staying up. Last season I thought Felipe was a big reason we stayed up and Boly can be the same this season - He is 33 and getting on a bit, but bloddy hell he is still the best we have

Some fans saying he was injured when he went off -can’t remember that. Having 3 CB allows one to roam and Boly at times almost played as sitting midfielder stepping into midfield and harassing their players. Hope he’s fit for Sheff utd.

His strength/size helps but what makes such a difference is his aggression; he wants to win headers, he wants to win challenges. Some of our younger defenders are talented but none of them have that in them.

I'd keep him around next year on a sensible contract (assuming he doesn't get injured again) but we have to find another CB that can replicate his qualities.
