Watford just pulled a similar stunt with Kamara. They sold him to Udinese for an undisclosed fee and took him back on loan. That's even fishier and there is no problem about it because it is legit as long as money is recorded in the books.
And as long as the fees are not ridiculous and are real market prices.

Weird signing to be honest. See how he gets on in Greece I suppose but generally doesn't fit our profile at all.

I still can't get over that this lad's name isn't a joke...

Tell them to go f*** off. There is no money laundering by any definition in this.

For us perhaps nothing. But as in the past there were financial transactions written in forest's books to help the club now this is the equivalent.

There were several sales that benefited your books and that's pretty much understandable because of the same owner.

Not to mention the Carvalho case where we got him to lift a lot of budget from Forest's books and the remaining transfer's year payments. And we are stack with him now of course. Or not to mention some other from the Portuguese clan lolol that were also pretty invisible lolol

So I think it's the one club helping the other when is needed and everything is being done by the rules.

Furthermore, now we have a cash flow issue because of the CL elimination. We will pay you a loan fee probably, or not, only the books will know, but next year if the player wants to stay here and we want him we will buy him and the balance will be sorted again. Or he may come there or he maybe transferred again and you will get money back.

You don't lose anything in my opinion. EM is investing a lot there and that's probably for helping our current cash flow.

Eh, don't blame us for this. This was a deal constructed in Greece with Mendes. It's right that you eventually carried the can :D

Probably his last chance to play in world cup and he would get more games in Greece than in England. It's a shame, as he looks like a good finisher and I would have liked to see the first East Asian signing for Forest playing in the Premier League.

Of course I don't blame you. It would be silly. The management has all the blame. But my point is that he was in your books, like the rest Portuguese, sudani, pantilimon etc, plus some sales written in your books etc and this shows that when it was needed there was a financial help ALWAYS following the rules. It was always pretty acceptable and expected by us. Nothing more and nothing less. We should get used into this. As long as it is by the rules and I am pretty sure it will always be. No club will . CL elimination cost us something like 15m and there is a cash flow issue at the moment.

I wouldn't bother if I were you, but on the other hand I am not you :)

Creative accounting.
and actually this wouldn't be necessary if we could qualify in CL or if we didn't need major rehaul this summer with 12+ new transfers. We waisted a lot last summer for transfers that didn't make it and this summer we had to change half of the team. We made 7 transfers up to now and we need another 6 at least. So, it's not something we will be seeing all the time and having one or two such 'creative accounting' transfers is not a big deal and not something we will regularly see. We will off-load (sell, loan) a lot but as always this doesn't come without a cost and some loss. At the end they'll do the math and see

I only care if our recruitment team are having to commit any time towards this transfer when we still have holes to fill in our own squad (admittedly, not many now) in just over a week’s time.

Other than that, it is what it is.

In all seriousness, there does seem to have been a lot of profligacy at the group level.

Its not a bad thing that clearing can happen this way, but a lot if junk players have gone through both clubs and that does seem a bit slapdash.

Hopefully we can both get better return out this if we had a common a data setup.

We will both get a better return if we both have proper decision-making structures in the football departments. You do now, which is why the number of bad transfers has been minimized, we will hopefully start building one from next week if the French DoF signs his contract as reported.

Is there even any point in Forest announcing this signing? This lad is never going to play for us is he? :ROFLMAO:

Will just be a picture of him waving through a plane window for the announcement. Hwang said from his seat "It was fantastic to visit East Midlands Airport for the first and last time"

I’m sorry - but I just don’t get this.
It's a favour to Olympiacos, as they don't have the money to sign him permanently at the moment due to not qualifying for the Champions League. He'll go on loan there and will either join them permanently next summer or be sold to someone else. He'll never play for us IMO.

It'll be another one added to Talksports list though.

Forest make their 17th signing today Jamie O'Hara. How will they all gel and are they in danger of doing a Fulham?

As sure as night follows day. Richard Keys will probably be angry for some reason as well.

Possibly a mandatory fee in the deal for next summer too. Above 5m of course.

I agree I don't see him ever playing for us and this is a workaround for Olympiakos to get him.
