I get home from holiday late on Sat 13th so I was hoping the West Ham match would be put back to the Sunday or Monday. :)

Another Prem player arested for rape x3. From Barnet area so likely an Arsenal or Spurs player.

Can't get my head around these things when these players could get almost any woman they want anyway

Leeds and their clown manager are signing anyone with an American passport.
He had an absolute shocker as Leipzig Coach, and was quickly dismissed.

I was surprised when Leeds chose him, and so far, he’s done absolutely nothing to show my initial thoughts were incorrect.

Brentford have wrapped up their deal for Kean Lewis-Potter. £16m and a SIX year contract…

I am getting a sneaky feeling we could see a new PL champion.

Sterling has left City now, I don't really get that. He isn't the best player but he always, always delivered goals for them. They will have to change their system to accommodate Haaland as well. I am not sure he will make them better, might score goals himself but they have been the perfect team the last few years. Liverpool have lost Mane who I think will be a big loss, they have smashed their wage structure to keep an ageing Salah - as flashy as Dias is, he is not better than Mane.

And Conte tends to deliver a title when you back him, which they have.

And of course Steve Cooper is on the scene now as well.

Sterling missed a hell of a lot of chances by making the wrong decision, its as if his feet and his brain arent connected.

I think its great business moving him on when they have as he still has value.

Sterling was lethal when that City team were in full-on ambush mode. No denying that when looking at his numbers.

But there is the rub. Will he be as effective in a different system? I'm not so sure. Still handy enough to cause problems for most sides but likely more patchy.

Also, £50m with one-year left on his contract and approaching the age when pacey players can decline and have to adapt and you have to say it's good business. Still, there will be times when Pep and City fans have a pang of regret. Like when he bags four against Bournemouth.

I also think Pep is gearing-up for a soft evolution at City as one or two elder statesmen move on and younger players with different attributes step-up. If anyone can make this transition work it's Pep.

City have had Chelsea's pants down when it comes to Sterling. Zero end product apart from being a tap in merchant for the biggest tap in creating team in history.

That is exactly what he also did at FC Bayern, and he made that work very well.

Yeah I don't think Sterling is particularly great.

But at the end of the day he scored a lot of goals that will need replacing.

If City don't win the title again I'll be amazed. Haaland is different class as well so I would fully expect him to hit about 25 goals for them. That's if Pep plays him each week...

For me - having seen a lot of young Haaland - he is the player City haven’t really had since Aguero, a proper centre-forward.

He could be a Match winner on his own, let alone when added to the talent they already have.

Anyway, I’m in the „ABK“ club.

(Anyone but Klopp)

Brentford have signed goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha from Lazio on a free. He's the son of an Albanian former goalkeeper of ours, and he was born and raised in Greece; he's chosen the national team of Albania but I doubt he even speaks the language. I haven't really followed his progress in Italy (he lost his undeniable position as no. 1 at Lazio in the last couple of years), but I can tell you that at the age of 17 he was one of the best young goalkeepers I have ever seen. I remember being very annoyed that his dad -at the time our goalkeeper coach- did not send him to us but to Lazio (which was of course an excellent decision for young Thomas).

Question from the USA - Is every Premier League shown on live TV in the UK? I know that "Paramount show a lot of games live here but not sure if they show them all. Just trying to find out if and how I will be able to watch all games live.

No, we will normally get 2 on a Saturday (1 BT, 1 Sky), and 3 on a Sunday (all Sky) with the Friday/Monday game also.

Generally the UK is the hardest place to watch PL games, which is ironic. I don’t think you will have much issues catching our matches in the US.

Astounded me when I went to Malta about 13 years or so ago to see all premier League games available to watch in a bar, broadcast at 3pm too! Hadn't been abroad much up to that point so didn't know that the harshest restrictions for watching PL games is actually in this country. Spent the rest of the afternoon drinking local beer 'Cisk' and watching multiple screens at once.

They need to scrap the 3pm blackout, its massively outdated.

People wont stop going to see their team live just because the scruffy scousers are on TV.

I’m not sure Runcorn, Skelmersdale, Tranmere etc would agree

The main thing is that unless you support one of the teams, 80% of most games are rather boring. And the highlights of all Prem games are shown later with analysis, giving all the interesting parts of the games.

So the 3pm blackout is now pointless, it was devised when there was practically no TV showing of games.
