No real change in Utd yesterday, still playing old legs in Evans, Eriksen and Casimero and the manager talking in riddles.

Ipswich were enthusiastic and energetic with one or two good players and stretched Utd to almost breaking point. The much-maligned keeper kept them in it.

Obviously the new bloke needs time, but after so much talk about his determination to play a strict formation, when asked about that later, he said it's not important or all about the formation! No wonder he needs time to get through to the players.

Looking at the highlights, Ipswich had the better of it, Onana with some point blank saves.

Next week won't be easy, but Ipswich will try to play football which should give us opportunities to get goals.

First Team Squad
When they appointed a Portuguese manager I thought it was a good move as it made it more likely Fernandez stayed as captain. Can be a very good player, but he ain't captain material and the kind of leader you need in a squad. They may improve for a while but eventually half the squad will turn or down tools cause that all stems from weak leadership in the squad.

Looking at the Newcastle game and West Ham were easy meat at the CG whereas Newcastle played pretty well. Exactly the reverse in this game.

West Ham clean goal and making headway forward and Newcastle looking toothless.

Football; funny old game.
