Surely one side's "not in accordance with the laws but in the spirit of the laws" is the other side's "Oi, ref, don't you know the laws? you fecking wanker!"?
Yes. But in most games and in respect of most incidents, both sides get a roughly equal dose of the spirit.

Do you have evidence to support this ?

How was Gana allowed to wear those under layer tights? They are supposed to be the same colour as the shorts.

I don't know how anybody plays in those things or socks pulled up over knees.

That's reminded me of singing "he's come in pyjamas" at Gabor Kiraly.

There have been hundreds of academic studies over the past 4 decades to support it.

Those studies have been cut in so many ways to seek out home advtange, sucess bias, country league differences, etc, and broadly they come to the conclusion that there are small statistical biases towards home teams but not overtly weighted.

Yeah, fair point.

Tell you what that game was best enjoyed by spending 90mins on your bike. It was weak championship fare.
Yep annoyed my love if d
Forest meant I spent a Friday night watching and being a nervous wreck during that shit game

I wore cycling shorts under mine for a stint in the early/mid nineties but I could never wear those things. He should be punished for wearing them in May anyway the f**king fanny

Sauce salad?
That's why it was just a stint, even at 12/13 years old I soon realised it was the move of a proper fanny
The older I get, the more fanny like I've become: I go full leggings and gloves when fit enough to get near a pitch these days. Back in the day I was a short shorts/sleeves show no pain type; being a fanny is warmer.

I wonder why Everton didn't try those superb brilliant long shots they scored with against us.

Or were they just flukes, once in a season efforts which just happened to be on target? Never to score again.

Some interesting stats here.

Everton have scored 20 goals from set pieces/penalties and 18 from open play with a total of 5 goals from outside the box.

Forest actually have the 3rd highest amount of goals from outside the box and 3rd lowest from inside the 6 yard box.

Because we let them take them

So we must be due about 35 decisions in our favour today then to even it out.
Oh, I forgot, we’re away from home so Sheffield will get those.

You know what I mean, Cloughie.

These guys are a team, employees, colleagues. They will have felt everything the fans have and maybe more intensely.

Taking the money out of the equation, they're professionals who haven't performed at their best season. Behind the scenes, they've lived the VAR and PMGOL stuff just as much (if not more) than we have. Imagine what they've discussed privately.

When they've been preparing for the Sheffield United game all week, they'd have said don't talk about Luton. Don't think about Luton. But how many Forest players would have been watching that game tonight like us?

'Ok. After that, we need a point at least'. 'No easy set piece goals'. I think people do footballers a disservice sometimes. They're humans too and they're thinking like us. That's my fear. Which is why you need the big characters and leaders to step up in crucial times like this.
Indeed Bryan; it's all relative.

Oh look.
Big 6 team gets the on-field penalty decision.

Top side get VAR desicion and penalty shocker !!

Surely that was minimal contacts, foot left in, brought the foul etc

How can anyone say they aren't bent

My son is 23 and has had a season ticket since he was 5 years old. He has grown up through the dark days of League 1 and the mainly struggles over the past years in the hope that Forest would eventually get back to the top level again.
This week he has shocked me by telling me he has no interest in renewing his season card UNLESS we get relegated back to the championship. He’s sickened by the blatant bias and obvious corruption. I totally agree with him but will renew anyway because I can’t break the cycle but I empathise and agree with him 100%.
